Filming has officially begun on Netflix's Space Force season 2 — with actor Ben Schwartz posting a new image with castmates in celebration. Created by Greg Daniels and Steve Carell, the series followed the eclectic crew of the titular government agency. Space Force premiered on the streaming service on May 29, 2020. Despite mixed reviews, it proved nonetheless popular with viewers and was renewed for a second season in November 2020.

Filming has now officially begun on Space Force season 2. In honor of that fact, Schwartz (who played the agency's social media director) posted a candid behind-the-scenes image to Instagram. All smiles, Schwartz could be seen in a line with fellow cast members Don Lake, Tawny Newsome, Jimmy O. Yang, and Diana Silvers. Check out the image below:

A synopsis for the Netflix series reads: Space Force is a workplace comedy-drama series that centered on a group of people tasked with establishing the sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces, the United States Space Force. It follows the efforts of General Mark Naird to get "boots on the moon" by 2024, per the president's orders.

Space Force starred Carell as General Mark Naird, John Malkovich as Dr. Adrian Mallory, Schwartz as F. Tony Scarapiducci, Newsome as Captain Angela Ali, Yang as Dr. Chan Kaifang, Lake as Brigadier General Bradley Gregory, and Silvers as Erin Naird. The comedy also featured an array of such notable guest-stars as Noah Emmerich, Jane Lynch, Diedrich Bader, Patrick Warburton, Lisa Kudrow, Kaitlin Olson, and the late, great, Fred Willard.
