Since Southern Charm season one, Shep Rose has been a fan favorite, and we're here to talk about why he's so popular. He was beloved by Bravo fans for his fun-loving personality and his ability to be a good friend to fellow cast members. However, his popularity started to wane after a few seasons. This happened because he made some serious and public mistakes. Shep's fall from grace did not last long, and he is still considered a favorite among those who watch the Bravo series.

The 41-year-old joined the series during its premiere season and he has been a full-time Southern Charm cast member ever since. He joined the show alongside Craig Conover, Cameran Eubanks, Thomas Ravenel, Jenna King, and Whitney Sudler-Smith (who recently quarantined with his mother Patricia Altschul). Shep quickly became known as a playboy, just like his fellow cast member Thomas. However, Shep still managed to win the hearts of fans because the South Carolina native brought a lightheartedness to the show that viewers loved.

At times, Shep's perennial likability has been confusing to those who don't appreciate him. Shep does have critics and they don't see why Southern Charm viewers gravitate toward him. In the past, Shep mocked a homeless woman. Shep received backlash for mocking the homeless woman in a video, which he uploaded to Twitter. He initially refused to apologize for doing that. While he later took the video down and said he regretted posting it in the first place, fans asked Bravo to fire him from the show. However, he never lost his job. Shep is still one of the main cast members on the show. More recently, he admitted to cheating on his long-term girlfriend Taylor Green. H also called his castmate Madison LeCroy "white trash."

Most people believe that Shep manages to keep his spot on the show because of his charming personality, which also allows him to live the Instagram influencer dream. While some viewers can see through his charming ways, others remain captivated by him. Viewers who enjoy Shep find him to be quite funny. They appreciate his laid-back personality. He knows what to say and how to say it. He's figured out how to get the audience to like him. His finesse is the reason he's managed to date so many women by the age of 42. While Shep is an attractive guy, women tend to gravitate towards him because of his personality. He's perceived as a cool and normal guy.

Even though Shep has been a fan favorite since the beginning, his popularity is slowly declining. With Austen Kroll and Craig Conover becoming the new fan favorites, Shep's time on Southern Charm may be drawing to a close. If Shep doesn't show that he's a changed man in the next couple of seasons, viewers may lose interest. If they do, he may say goodbye to the show.
