After a wild season of Southern Charm with Madison LeCroy in the middle of the drama, fans have started to tire of the southern bell. Season seven started off with a small lovers' quarrel between Madison and her former partner, Austen Kroll. The show then began to focus on Kathryn Dennis and the controversy regarding her racially insensitive emoji message. However, after Kathryn's drama began to die down, Madison was back at the center, and viewers were over it.
Madison was introduced to the fans of Southern Charm when she began appearing as Austen's girlfriend in season six. She had small appearances prior to season six and was able to cement herself as a necessary character on the Bravo reality series that season. Once she joined as a full-time cast member, Madison did not hold back on the drama. While some viewers loved seeing Madison stir the pot, others quickly grew tired of her.
Even though Madison has been part of the reality series since season six, her name became well known in the tabloids for her affairs with men in long-term relationships. She was first linked to Jay Culter, who was married to Kristen Cavallari for seven years before they announced their divorce in April 2020. However, there is no word on whether Jay and Kristin ever finalized their divorce. Madison was then accused of having an affair with A-Rod, who was engaged to Jennifer Lopez at the time. Madison maintains her innocence and says her relationship with A-Rod was never physical.
For most of season seven, viewers have noticed how poorly Madison has treated Austen throughout their relationship. Not only does she constantly put him down, but she has even flirted with other men in front of Austen during the relationship and after they broke up. Even though Austen isn't a saint in this situation, Madison has never treated him with the love and respect a girlfriend should.
Since Madison announced her official breakup with Austen in December 2020, she has been throwing petty digs at her exes. It began after Jay Cutler and his ex-wife, Kristen, shared a now-deleted photo on Instagram, claiming "the world is full of users." Clearly, Madison was not happy with this post and decided to share a series of text messages she and Jay exchanged in the past. She was trying to prove Jay was the one pursuing her, not the other way around. She also shared a photo of her drinking a Budweiser beer. The photo was a call back to when Patrica Altschul said Madison deserved Budweiser and not Austen's beer.
Due to her dramatic relationships, treatment of Austen, and petty behavior, fans have had enough of Madison trying to stake her claim as a cast member on Southern Charm. Even though viewers live for her petty drama, it has come to the point where it is getting old and tired. Madison tries way too hard to make a name for herself on the show, which comes off as desperate. Hopefully, season eight will show Madison in a different light with all this drama behind her.
