Madison LeCroy from Southern Charm revealed Craig Conover's girlfriend, Natalie Hegnauer, is only dating him because she couldn't have Austen Kroll.
The new season of the Charleston-based reality TV show has been focusing a lot on the current dating lives of the cast members and, of course, coronavirus. Madison and Austen have been very up and down lately, while Craig was able to settle down with someone new many years after his breakup with Naomie Olindo. But while Madison and Austen are still trying to sort things out onscreen, off-screen the Bravo star announced she's done with her on-and-off boyfriend for good. But even though she's ready to move on, she can quite leave the drama behind her.
After appearing on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the 30 year old revealed Natalie was intimate with Austen before she and Craig started dating. “Austen was the person to tell me about this,” she revealed to Cheat Sheet, “Which is why I didn’t think it was any surprise, Everybody knew. [John] Pringle knew …” Madison originally believed Craig was well aware of everyone knowing about Natalie and Austen's past relationship, but he was not too thrilled about her sharing the information on the late-night talk show. “I mean did you not ever think that I wasn’t going to come out with the fact that your now girlfriend slept with Austen?” she added. Madison went on to say Craig is clearly upset with her, but she doesn't understand why, as he had to have known this news was coming. She added she does not hate Natalie, as her moment with Austen was before Madison ever dated him. "I mean, I don’t hate her, I don’t dislike her. [Kroll] did this when we weren’t together. That’s on him.” she said “But if he’s okay with it, then I guess he’s okay with it.”
Madison also believes Craig and Natalie aren't going to go the distance. She added that, if she was in his shoes, she could never be with some who once slept with her friend. Madison even said Austen told her Natalie ended up with Craig because she knew Austen would always love Madison. Craig is not too fond of Madison right now since she's been talking about Craig's new relationship. He called her "nasty for no reason" and said Austen is the reason him and Natalie are together. “That’s how Natalie and I met, Austen introduced us in Aspen, [Colorado]. It was no secret that they had known each other before,” he revealed. Craig added Natalie has been nothing but nice to Madison, so the comments she has been making about the couple have been out of line and he no longer wants to be associated with her. Everyone else has been supportive of Craig's new relationship, except Madison. It seems Madison and Craig will have a lot to hash out at the reunion.
Will Craig ever get over Madison's comments or will she ever apologize? Fans will have to wait and see as the season progresses.
