Madison LeCroy from Southern Charm is happy her ex-boyfriend and fellow costar, Austen Kroll, joined the new series Winter House. Viewers might remember the former couple for the tumultuous relationship over the past couple of the season on the Bravo series. The ups and downs in their relationship began after Madison walked in on Austen was involved in an entanglement with two other women. While Austen denied anything happened between him and the other women, Madison didn't believe him and had a little fun of her own.

Despite the infidelity on both sides, the pair couldn't stay away from each other and got back together soon after their split. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, their relationship started to take a turn for the worst. Madison, who revealed her new boyfriend, didn't approve of Austen sleeping in all day, drinking, and going out to party. Once Austen discovered that he tested positive for the virus, Madison kicked him out of her house and her life. Now that it's been more than a year since their split, it seems the two are on much better terms.

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the hairstylist spoke about her thoughts on Austen joining the new reality series. "When I first saw the trailer [...] I actually called him and he was like, ‘I can’t talk about this right now.’ And I said, ‘No, I actually was calling to tell you, like, good for you," Madison, who rejected the gold digger label, admitted to the publication. "‘Like, you look like the GOAT here. I mean, all these girls are fighting over you." The 30-year-old is referring to the Trop Hop Beer founder's love triangle between Summer House's Lindsay Hubbard and Ciara Miller. Madison hopes this will not only boost his confidence but make him feel more secure when it comes to dating. During the Winter House trailer, Madison does make a minor appearance, but not on screen.

Austen reveals that she had sent him a text saying, "‘Please tell me that you haven’t moved on.’" They were previously linked on Southern Charm season 6, shortly after the two first began dating. In December 2020, Madison announced her split from Austen after almost three years of dating on and off. Following their break up, Madison began a brief relationship with Jay Cutler, the ex-husband of Kristin Cavallari, who has been spotted over the past year hanging out with Austen and fellow costar Craig Conover. However, the former couple has since buried the hatchet, with Madison even calling Austen a friend. While the pair have seen each other out and about in Charleston, the two have yet to film together for Southern Charm season 8. "I actually haven’t filmed with him yet," Madison revealed. She added that they both need to let go of the past and move on.

Despite their rollercoaster of a relationship, Madison, who denied cheating with A-Rod, is happy Austen is moving on with his life. Ultimately she wants him to be happy, especially now that she has a new boyfriend of her own. While they may be on good terms for now, who knows what will happen once they begin filming Southern Charm season 8 together.
