Madison LeCroy believes her ex and Southern Charm costar Austen Kroll is happy for her engagement news. The former couple dated for around two years on and off throughout her time on the Bravo series. After dating for less than a year, Madison discovered Austen was cheating on her, which was caught on camera. Even though Madison and Austen made up and got back together, their friends weren't so happy about it.

Austen's close friend Craig Conover, who is dating Paige DeSorbo from Summer House, has said on many occasions that the couple is not healthy for each other. He believed their relationship was toxic and was only causing them pain and no happiness. Madison and Austen ended their relationship last summer and weren't on good terms. Now that time has passed, it seems the pair may have finally buried the hatchet.

During an interview with Page Six on Thursday, the 31-year-old admitted she has not spoken to her ex Austen but is hoping he handles the announcement with respect. "I hope he shows some maturity and supports me and is happy for me," Madison, whose happy Austen joined Winter House, told the news outlet. "He knows what I want in my life and to actually see that this is becoming a reality, I think that he’ll be happy for me." Madison and Austen, who had a very tumultuous relationship for several years, have been able to remain friends after their breakup and are getting along fine as of now. The reality star added how getting out of her toxic relationship with the 34-year-old changed her life. The former couple realized they were better off as friends, "and we’re going to keep it that way."

She added, "He has a great family, and I hope that he finds this feeling because it’s a great feeling. I can’t lie." Madison, who shaded Austen, began dating him in 2018 and officially ended their relationship in 2020. The duo was never a great match, and Madison was able to see that during the peak time of the COVID-19 pandemic. Less than a year after she and Austen called it quits, she met Brett. Six months later, Madison announced she and Brett were engaged. She revealed the news during her Amazon Live on Thursday and confessed the details of the proposal. She confirmed the newly engaged couple met while she was on a trip with her friends in Arizona and said it was love at first sight. Madison, who is engaged, revealed that fans might be able to some of her engagement play out on the upcoming season of Southern Charm.

Even though Madison and Austen were involved in a turbulent relationship, it seems they have landed on much better terms. Madison has now moved on and Austen has been dating around by the looks of the Winter House trailer. Hopefully, these exes can get along for the sake of the new Southern Charm season.
