Before part one of the Southern Charm reunion had aired, Kathryn Dennis took to Instagram to praise her boyfriend, Chleb, for sticking by her side. Kathryn has been under fire lately for her lack of accountability towards her ignorant use of a monkey emoji during a DM conversation with a radio host. It wasn't very long into season seven of the popular Bravo series when Kathryn became the center of attention, but not in a good way.
In May 2020, Kathryn took to Twitter to apologize after she used a monkey emoji during a DM conversation on Instagram with radio host, Tamika Gadsden. Their back and forth began when Gadsden called out one of Kathryn's friends for organizing a Donald Trump rally with her friends. Kathryn caught wind of Gadsden's comments and began to taunt her with a slew of mean DMs. After Gadsden went public with the messages, Kathryn apologized for her actions and acknowledged her use of the monkey emoji was offensive, but it was never her intention to be racist. Kathryn may have Chleb by her side, but costars don't seem to happy with her lack of accountability.
Before Bravo aired part one, Kathryn shared to Instagram a sweet photo of her and Chleb together at the reunion. Alongside the picture, Kathryn included a loving caption dedicated to her partner after a difficult year on the show. "My guy, by my side, always," she began her caption. "For my babe to stick by me during one of the hardest years I have ever had.. always showering me with support..I just couldn’t be more thankful. Cheers to the next year and cheers to the #southerncharm reunion." The image showed Chleb sitting on the armrest of Kathryn's reunion seat, while she stood next to sit with her hand placed on his knee. Chleb even took to his Instagram where he shared the same photo as his girlfriend, alongside another photo of the couple standing next to each other.
During Thursday's reunion episode, Kathryn was shown getting ready for the show with Chleb by her side revealing to him that she was glad he came to support her. Rumors of their relationship began to circulate at the end of July 2020 just two months after Kathryn's use of a racially insensitive emoji. "They've been dating a few months now," an insider told PEOPLE in July. "They have good chemistry together." It seems Chleb and Kathryn have become serious since they began dating last summer, as he has already met her children Kensie and Saint.
Chleb was not featured on this season of Southern Charm and has yet to make a full appearance on the reunion. Will Chleb join the stage on Thursday with Kathryn during the final reunion episode or will viewers have to wait until season eight? Fans will have to wait and see.
