We love the new refreshing and thought-provoking outlook that Facebook's Sorry for Your Loss introduced on personal loss and depression. And although the first season wrapped up quite nicely, there are still many topics and uncertainties left to clear up. Luckily, the series' success resulted in the announcement of a whole new season, starting October first, with the main themes of grief and coping with loss sure to fuel future episodes as well.

As the developments in the first season revolved solely around Matt (Mamoudou Athie), we hope the sequel will allow some other characters to also find a spot in the limelight. In the awaiting of the series' October return, we've compiled a list of the most burning questions left unanswered by the show's first season, which we hope to see resolved in the fall.

HOW DID MATT DIE?

Although episode 17 "Unheard messages" reveals that Matt died while hiking, Danny (Jovan Adepo) keeps asking himself whether his brother committed suicide or whether it an accident? Who knows, maybe he was killed!?

Because of Matt's struggle with depression, we can't ignore the first assumption, and if that's the case: what was he thinking in the last moment of his life? This is Presumably the most intriguing question on this list. On the other hand, Leigh (Elizabeth Olsen) seems to be sure that Matt would not hurt himself when she tells Danny that "it was either an accident or a disease, either way, it wasn't Matt.”

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MATT´S COMIC BOOK?

Hopefully, Matt's comic will be posthumously published. In the final episode, dubbed "The Penguin and the Mechanic," Leigh reveals that her husband's comic book (which hadn't been finished, by the way) had managed to spark the interest of a publication the day before his death. Although Danny is against this happening, Leigh makes the decision that the comic should be published, to honor Matt. That means that we can look forward to the possibility that Matt's comic book will achieve great success in the upcoming season.

DOES LEIGH FEEL THE SAME WAY AS DANNY?

Firstly, Danny abruptly tells Leigh that he must stop seeing her, merely adding "It's too hard to be around you." Then, at the very end of the final episode, Danny calls Matt's phone and admits that he's falling in love with Leigh.

Plot twist: who would expect that from their love-hate relationship? Now that we know this, the question remains: should we expect some kind of a widow's love story, and more importantly, does Leigh feel the same way as Danny — especially after the intimate moment at Drew's wedding? We'll find out soon.

IS TRIPP GOING TO APPEAR IN LEIGH´S LIFE AGAIN?

What to say? Poor, sweet Tripp (Luke Kirby)... It would definitely be interesting to see him again, considering his desire for Leigh. However, unfortunately for him, it seems that their one-night stand wasn't that special to her. Yes, in the episode "Welcome to Palm Springs," she flirts (and does some other grown-up stuff) with this likable hotel owner, but she also leaves the resort like nothing happened. Although it is unlikely that Tripp will have some important role in her life, there is always a possibility that he won't remain a stranger for long.

WHAT´S GOING ON BETWEEN RICHARD AND SABRINA?

In other words, are they getting a divorce? The show still keeps a shroud of mystery over the relationship of Richard (Don McManus) and Sabrina (Carmen Cusack). We know that they've been married for 20 years and have lately had some marital problems.

The key thing is that, despite attending marriage counseling sessions in an attempt to save their relationship, Richard wants to give up and be with Amy (Janet McTeer) again (bad karma for Sabrina who had been a mistress when he was in a relationship with Amy). Anyway, one can only imagine all this family drama boiling in the upcoming season...

WILL AMY AND RICHARD GET BACK TOGETHER?

Sometimes it seems that Amy almost desperately wants to be in a romantic relationship — and who can blame her? She had been a devoted mother and, doubtless, a workaholic for years who probably didn't have time to date. Hence, it would come at no surprise if she got back together with her ex-husband, especially after their kiss at the "Beautiful Beast," her exercise studio. Although Richard is convinced they are meant to be together (again!) Amy reasonably refuses. How can she forget the whole story with Sabrina? After all she can easily change her mind anytime. Maybe, despite everything, she will develop strong romantic feelings for Richard in the next season.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO 'BEAUTIFUL BEAST'?

Aside from Richard, Matt's death, and her daughter's sobriety, Amy has to deal with her business. She had owned the "Beautiful Beast" for at least a decade now and is tired of sucking up to the landlord. She desperately needs to purchase the whole building so she can keep the business going.

On the other hand, a pushy investment group is competing for the same building and offering to pay up cash, which is currently one of her most pressing concerns. Will she manage to convince the landlord to sell it to her, or will she have to find other means to support her family? Hopefully, Jules keeps her Middle School Dance Party class going.

ARE WE GOING TO LEARN JULES' BACKGROUND?

Elizabeth Olsen has already announced that one of the focal points of the second season will be Jules (Kelly Marie Tran) and her experience as an adopted child, so we may expect to see themes surrounding her alcoholism, personal life, and other worries more thoroughly explained. We know since the planned trip to Vietnam that Jules is sensitive about her adoption, and that her inherent abandonment complexes surrounding her past also keep her from maintaining relationships. So, the question arises: will she be able to find someone whom she can love and who will love her back?

HOW MUCH DID MATT´S FATHER INFLUENCE HIS AND DANNY´S LIFE?

More details about their childhood and relationship with their father would surely contribute to better understanding Matt's story and his struggle with mental illness. And although it would help answer some of our burning questions, these childhood details would undoubtedly open up new questions.

For now, we only know that their late father also suffered from depression and that Matt and him didn't get along. Furthermore, we can ask ourselves how their mother, Bobby Greer (LisaGay Hamilton), is dealing with Matt's death (or suicide).

IS LEIGH GOING TO GET BACK HER ADVICE COLUMN?

We hope she will, as soon as possible. The bitterness aroused by her spouse's death had prevented her from offering actionable and helpful advice to her readers. However, she'd always been an adept compassionate writer.

By learning to cope with Matt's death, she'd be able to move past her tragedy and offer her readers a new perspective where she shifts the focus from her own problems to theirs, helping them, and consequently, herself. And although it's unlikely she'll return to writing columns for Basically News, she may very well find a fresh start somewhere else.
