When Kurt Sutter created Sons of Anarchy, he opened the eyes of people who knew nothing about the motorcycle gang world. We only knew what we saw snippets of in movies and on other TV shows. Focusing a whole show around a group of guys who are brothers through bikes and leather created a community much like the one we experienced on the show.

It wasn’t just about the main characters, the side characters also left a lasting impression. Sutter and his team did a great job creating characters that you loved to hate and hate to see die (because they all do, eventually). These are the supporting characters we low-key miss having on our TV screens every week.

10. Chuck Marstein

Chuck in Sons Of Anarchy

Also known as Chuckie and the character who chronically pleasures himself, Chuck first appeared in season one when Otto took pity on him after seeing him get beat up over and over again by the Triads in prison. He was a quirky character that the club eventually took pity on as well. He essentially grew on them but when he first came around the club saw him as weird and annoying.

His constant need to respond to people with “I accept that” and the whole touching himself when he’s nervous thing rubbed the club the wrong way. By the end, they were able to accept Chuck for who he is and he ultimately became a friend who went out of his way to help the club.

9. Polly Zobelle

Polly was certainly her father’s daughter when she appeared in season two of Sons of Anarchy. She ended up being considered an antagonist because of all the henchmen-like work she did for her crazy father Ethan Zobelle. She is mostly memorable for setting up Gemma and subduing her to allow members of her father’s group League of American Nationals to assault her.

She also rigged a car bomb that damn near killed Chibs and Hale. Polly may look innocent but she is diabolical. Fortunately for fans of the show, she was shot by Gemma and we all praised her demise.

8. Ethan Zobelle

Ethan Zobelle in Sons of Anarchy

Ethan Zobelle was a horrible man and a thorn in the side of the club. He made his money in cigars and owned a few shops that the club sometimes went to. He also created the League of American Nationalist which he used as a disguise to participate in a bunch of shady crap.

He was also an FBI informant which caused a lot of problems for the club. Zobelle stood by and watched his daughter and friends from his white separatist group completely ruin the lives of many people in Charming. All because he thought that every race but white was ruining this wholesome town. His anger towards the club never made a lot of sense but because they sometimes rolled with the 6niners all bets were off.

7. Jacob Hale Jr.

Jacob Hale Jr. is the older brother of Deputy Cheif David Hale. Like most of the members of the club, he was born and raised in Charming. He set his sights on cleaning up Charming and getting out from under the hold that the club has on the community.

Throughout the series, he pops up and basically sides with anyone who is against the club. He is involved in blackmail, he wants to become Mayor of charming so he begins shady deals with not only the club but other people like out of towners looking to buy their way into Charming. He eventually screws everything up and is in somewhat of a debt to the club.

6. June Stahl

June Stahl was that tough as nails ATF agent who appeared in a number of episodes from seasons one to three. She slowly built her case against the club in seasons one and two and by season three she was gunning for them. She was the reason why baby Abel was kidnapped and Half Sack was murdered. And it was her investigation (and tampering) that got the club into a lot of heat in the first place.

She further pissed the club off when she kept Bobby in jail for an extra three weeks even after the charges against him were dropped. She was the cause for a lot of contention in the police force, amongst the guys and in the town of Charming. To make matters worse she showed no remorse for anything she did.

5. Cameron Hayes

Cameron Hayes ran guns with the Irish and was assigned to the Sons when their original gun runner was murdered. He quickly betrays the Sons and his own crew to make some extra money with Zobelle and L.O.A.N. He kidnaps baby Abel and stabbed Half Sack in the stomach where he bleeds out in Jax’s home.

He takes Abel all the way to Ireland in hopes that he can raise him as his own since his son was murdered supposedly by Gemma. He causes a lot of drama among the Sons and their affiliates both in Charming and in Ireland.

4. Edmond Hayes

Edmond Hayes was Cameron’s son (possibly his only child). Along with his father, he runs amuck around Charming. Buying up guns, backstabbing club members and trying to hook up with Zobelle’s daughter Polly.

The worst comes when he gets wrapped up in trying to frame the club. Not only does he lose his life, but the plan also backfires. Leading to a chain of events that involves his crazy, grieving father. He wasn’t as bad as his father but his actions still caused a lot of chaos and he ended up losing his life.

3. George Caruso

Tom Arnold is no stranger to playing a slimy con artist he perfected it as a manager of a porno studio trying to steal Luann Delaney’s girls in season two. Otto’s old lay looked to the Sons for help seeing as Otto is behind bars. Poor Georgie thought he was more important than a woman protected by the club.

He beat Luann to death and fled the state. Fans were pissed but everything always comes full circle on this show doesn’t it? George shows up in town again in season four and the club exacts their revenge. He gets shot to death in the trunk of his own car.

2. Galen O'Shay

Galen-Oshay-Sons-Of-Anarchy

Galen O’Shay became involved with the Sons when they required heavier firepower for the cartel. He was good friends with Clay and met John Teller in the 80s when the club went to Ireland.

O’Shay is a man with a very short temper he didn’t take too kindly to Jax attacking him for running a baby mill much like one they ran in Ireland when Abel was kidnapped. Even the look of Galen was enough to anger fans of the show. It’s rare that you find the perfect casting to play a horrible individual.

1. Lee Toric

Lee Toric Sons of Anarchy

When Lee Toric showed up in Charming looking for answers about what happened to his sister, the season looked bleak. Toric was acting on pure emotion and he didn’t hesitate to use his ex-US Marshall status to get what he needs. The now-disgraced Marshall runs crazily around Charming and even accidentally kills a girl while on drugs. He begins to hound the club before they even realize what is happening.

Truth be told he was only exacting revenge, nothing different from what the Sons would have done. But because we are all so loyal to SAMCRO we cheered as Otto ended his life in basically the same way he ended his sister’s life.
