Screen Rant is excited to present exclusive stills from the upcoming Netflix animated series Sonic Prime. Sonic Prime continues to expand the world of the super-speed hedgehog, but this time he and his friends will be catapulted into the multiverse. In this new adventure, Sonic will come face to face with not one, but at least five Dr. Eggmans when Sonic Prime premieres on Netflix on December 15.

When Sonic the Hedgehog gets a little too eager in his fight with Dr. Eggman, ignoring the warnings of his friends, he accidentally destroys the Paradox Prism, which causes a literal universe-shattering event that sends him and his friends across alternate universes. In an attempt to return home, Sonic recruits alternate versions of his friends Tails, Knuckles, Rogue, and Amy from across the Shatterverse—but it might be harder than he expected to convince them to help. Sonic must earn back his friends' trust and teach them the value of teamwork while also fighting against a council of Dr. Eggmans from across the Shatterverse with help from an unexpected source.

More About Sonic Prime

Netflix Sonic Prime S1E3, Sonic

Screen Rant's exciting new stills offer a closer look at the council of Dr. Eggmans, Sonic and the Shatterverse version of his friends, and the Paradox Prism. Each version of Dr. Eggman is different, including an elderly version and an infant version, although they share a similar look with details like their hair being changed to mirror their own universe. The powerful battle armor gives the alternate Dr. Eggmans uniformity while still including a slightly different design for each suit. The Paradox Prism is clearly a powerful artifact with some sort of energy arcing off toward Sonic's hand.

Sonics' friends look very different in the stills that feature them, with Tails now having metal, almost spider-like, appendages. Knuckles is wearing a pirate outfit, as seen in the trailer, with Amy looking like a cyborg, and Rogue rocking an interesting new outfit. With these stills from the second and third episodes, it seems like Sonic will have an easier time convincing them to join his mission than might have been expected, but Dr. Eggman is a bigger threat than ever.

Sonic Prime is executive produced by SEGA, EildBrain, Mann of Cation, and Erik Wiese. The series stars Deven Mack (Sonic), Brian Drummond (Eggman), Ashleigh Ball (Tails), Shannon Chan-Kent (Amy Rose), Adam Nurada (Knuckles), and Ian Hanlin (Shadow and Big the Cat). The first season of Sonic Prime will consist of eight episodes, with the first being 40 minutes long and subsequent episodes only 20 minutes.

To celebrate the premiere of Sonic Prime, the first episode will be available on Roblox in GameFam's Sonic Speed Simulator as part of a virtual premiere event on December 10, which you can learn more about here, five days before the series debut on Netflix on December 15. The event begins on Saturday, December 10 at 7 AM PT and ends at 5 PM PT on Friday, December 16, with immersive screenings available every 45 minutes and plenty of games and giveaways to enjoy. Sonic fans can even participate in a game of tag in the New Yoke City TAG Arena!
