It had been announced that Sofia Vergara will be America's Got Talent's  new judge following Gabrielle Union’s firing. The show and network are trying to make positive changes to the hit talent show.

The ongoing incident regarding America’s Got Talent started on Nov. 22, when the NBC network announced both judges Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough would not be returning to the show for season 15. According to multiple reports, Union's contract was not renewed due to rumors of clashes that occurred behind the scenes and with network executives. It was also reported that Union spoke to the show’s producers, telling them she felt there were racial and gender concerns that made their workplace a toxic environment for women and people of different backgrounds. Recently, many former NBC employees, such as Howard Stern and Sharon Osbourne, have commented on how it is the "ultimate boys club."

The 15th season of American's Got Talent is set to be monumental and jam packed with exceptional talent. The official casting of Vergara came after her Dec. 18 meeting with network executives. Both Klum and Vergara have now filled the two empty chairs left by Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough. Union spoke out about the multiple injustices she felt she had been put through, eventually having a lengthy meeting with executives to hopefully correct the issues. Terry Crews will be the host of the show and is expected to become a fan favorite rather quickly. The lineup for the judges and hosts have been mixed up over the years to keep the show fresh for viewers. Fans are happy to see the show get back on track as they show diversity and inclusivity.
