Sofia Richie’s Keeping Up with the Kardashian Premiere turns out to be "really awkward." Her current boyfriend, Scott Disick, plans a trip with Sofia and his ex-partner and mother of his three children, Kourtney Kardashian.
The relationship that has been heavily scrutinized due to Sofia and Scott's 16 year age difference. When the two began dating and being spotted with each other, her dad Lionel Richie said that he was "scared to death" of his 19-year-old daughter dating 34-year-old Scott. Fans were hoping that it was just a "phase" like Sofia's dad called their relationship and fans still held out hope that the on-again-off-again relationship between Kourtney would be patched up. While Scott and Kourtney have three children together - 9-year-old Mason, 7-year-old Penelope, and 4-year-old Reign - they are the perfect example of how to co-parent since their split in 2015. After Sofia got involved, however, it made that co-parenting a little bit more confusing and awkward.
In the clip obtained by Us Weekly is of the newest episode that's set to air this Sunday, October 6th, which shows Sofia on vacation with Scott and his ex-girlfriend, Kourtney, and their three children. Scott begins the clip by saying, "It is a really awkward situation." The three are seen together on a skiing vacation. Kourtney says to the cameras in the clip, "It gets bizarre." Scott talks about the situation with ex-girlfriend Kourtney, saying, "I just want you and Sofia to feel comfortable."
Sofia is heard starting the drama as she says to her boyfriend, "You’re a lot more sophisticated with me when Kourtney’s around." Then Scott says, "This trip has so much pressure," as the clip shows Kourtney and Sofia wear matching wraps over their heads as they soak in a hot tub. Scott reveals that all of the pressure of making his new girlfriend and his ex-girlfriend happy "does take, like, a toll on me." Despite the awkwardness, a source told Us that Kourtney is happy for Scott and Sofia.
It seems that despite the awkwardness it took for Scott to blend his new girlfriend into his family of three plus ex-partner Kourtney, it has been a success based off of his Instagram where he posts a picture of all three of them vacationing in Mexico together, Kourtney on Scott's left and Sofia on his right. Now that Sofia has been in Scott and Kourtney's life for the last two years, it's rumored that the two are about to settle into a place together in Malibu. It's likely that fans will be seeing more and more of Sofia on Keeping Up with the Kardashians as time goes on and their relationship becomes stronger and more serious.
