A Justice League fan on Instagram has created his version of a promotional poster for the Snyder Cut. The Snyder Cut is undoubtedly seen as a victory for Justice League fans, who've lobbied for Zack Snyder's version of the film to be released for years. Despite initial silence from the studio, the Snyder Cut was finally confirmed for release on HBO Max in 2021.
When Snyder exited Justice League, executives brought on Jon Berg and Geoff John, in part to change the direction of the film away from Snyder's darker style. As a result, Joss Whedon added 80 new pages of material to Justice League, which led to significant reshoots and a more lighthearted tone. Entire character backstories were cut in favor of Whedon's material; the result was a somewhat disjointed final product, with clashing styles and contributions from both directors.
Instagram user spdrmnkyxxiii has created an incredible fan poster promoting the Snyder Cut. The poster features the six members of the Justice League front and center, with the super-villain Steppenwolf looming in the background. The three Mother Boxes also make an appearance in the poster as well and act as a divider between Steppenwolf and the League. You can check out this fantastic poster below:
While there aren't many drastic character changes in spdrmnkyxxiii's poster, one significant difference between his creation and the original Justice League release posters is Superman's suit. Superman wears an entirely black suit in the fan poster, which is one exciting detail that Snyder Cut fans can see in 2021. More specifically, Superman will receive the black costume shortly after being resurrected by the rest of the League; a deleted scene shows Clark choosing between Kryptonian battle armor and the black Superman suit, although it's clear that he picks the latter. That being said, spdrmnkyxxiii's inclusion of the black suit shows his attention to detail and is one of the many changes to look forward to in the Snyder Cut.
Putting together the Snyder Cut will be a massive undertaking. From the myriad of new scenes that viewers will see to the differences in already-familiar characters, the Snyder Cut will be something of a breath of fresh air. While DC likely already has its fair share of marketers and graphic designers, if they're ever in need of someone to help design additional posters for the Justice League Snyder Cut, they should most definitely consider giving spdrmnkyxxiii a call.
