Gal Gadot teases her singing and dancing scenes in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney's Snow White. Gadot is best known for her role as Wonder Woman in the DCEU, having led two standalone films with a third currently in its early stages of production with director Patty Jenkins. The star's next big project will see her take on the role of the Evil Queen in Disney's latest addition to their live-action lineup, following the success of the studio's previous blockbusters such as 2015's Cinderella and 2017's Beauty and the Beast.

Snow White will also see West Side Story's Rachel Zegler take on the film's titular role, with the star recently revealing that director Marc Webb is dedicated to portraying a "hero-princess" for his daughter. While little is known about this upcoming reimagining of the Walt Disney classic, the film is currently in production in London and is expected to hit theatres at some point in 2023. As with Disney's previous live-action adaptations, audiences can expect an all-singing all-dancing spectacle as this beloved fairytale is retold in the modern age and now Gadot had opened up about her experience with shooting this musically-driven project.

In conversation with ForbesGadot was asked about this exciting adaptation of Snow White, which is quite unlike anything she has previously starred in. Gadot revealed that she loves how the film allows her to do something different, sharing that she has particularly enjoyed the singing and dancing aspects of filming, as well as getting to play the villain. Gadot also spoke about her fellow cast and crew, sharing that she has enjoyed working alongside them, before teasing that "it's going to be interesting" and stating that her Evil Queen is "very evil."

I love it! [laughs] It’s fun, I get to do something different. I get to sing and I get to dance and I get to play the villain, which is something that I’ve never done before - and it’s the first Disney villain ever. I really enjoy working with all people involved, with Marc Webb and Marc Platt producing and Disney, of course, Rachel Zegler. It’s just a great experience and I really, really enjoy it and The Evil Queen is very evil, so it’s going to be interesting.

Gal Gadot shows confidence in Red Notice.

With a number of other exciting projects on the horizon, Gadot is set to have a busy year ahead, following her appearance in Kenneth Branagh's Death on the Nile earlier this year. The star is also currently filming for her upcoming spy movie, Heart of Stone, which is set for Netflixas well her appearance in Cleopatra, which is currently in pre-production. So far any major details surrounding Snow White have been kept largely under wraps, with this likely to be the case for the foreseeable future as filming is expected to continue into the summer.

As Gadot has stated, her upcoming role as the Evil Queen will certainly be an interesting change from the roles many will be used to seeing her in. Given that the film will draw inspiration from the original story of Snow White, audiences can likely expect Gadot's Evil Queen to have a fair amount of screen time within the film. For now, it's likely that more fun teases and details will emerge from the film's stars as production on Snow White progresses.
