Game of Thrones star Kit Harington and The Favourite Oscar nominee Emma Stone will both take on hosting duties next month on Saturday Night Live. It's already been a star-studded year for SNL, with Idris Elba, Don Cheadle, John Mulaney, Halsey, James McAvoy and Rachel Brosnahan all taking their turns hosting during 2019.

The job of hosting SNL is of course one of the most prestigious gigs in all of show business, but it can also be a minefield for performers who aren't up to the task. Historically, the show has thrived with actors and comedians in hosting duties, and indeed some stars like Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, Tom Hanks and John Goodman have done well enough to host multiple times, joining the famed "5 Timers Club." The show tends to falter when giving hosting duties to athletes, politicians and random famous people, but even in those cases, classic moments can sometimes be created.

With its 44th season on NBC well under way, SNL has revealed two more stars who are set to take on hosting duties in the month of April. As unveiled on Twitter, Games of Thrones' Kit Harington and The Favourite's Emma Stone will both step up and take their shot at serving as SNL host. This will actually be Stone's fourth time hosting the show, putting her just one short of joining the fabled 5 Timers Club (and earning that coveted smoking jacket). Harington meanwhile will make his SNL debut. Sandra Oh, who was previously announced as host, is also featured in the announcement tweet, which can be seen below:

After three previous hosting gigs, Stone is by now a veteran of SNL. Of course, one of Stone's most memorable SNL appearances wasn't a hosting shot at all but was in fact a cameo in a hilarious reel of "lost Star Wars auditions" in which the actress played herself going for the role of Rey alongside Beck Bennett as Javier Bardem as Kylo Ren. Harington has never personally been on SNL before, but the actor has been lampooned by the show, most memorably by Alex Moffat in a compilation of "lost Lion King auditions."

It remains to be seen what hilarious sketches the SNL writers will dream up for Stone and Harington, but it's a fair bet that Harington's appearance will feature at least one sketch built around Game of Thrones. In fact, SNL cast regular Leslie Jones is a huge Thrones fan, and it's almost a given that she will get at least one moment with Jon Snow himself. As for Stone, the show could certainly have a lot of fun with her quirky movie The Favourite, which was nominated for 10 Oscars (winning only one, the Best Actress trophy for Olivia Colman, who frankly would herself be hilarious on Saturday Night Live).
