Snapchat's My AI chatbot is an interesting new addition to the app, but users who don't want to use it can delete it from their chat feed. Powered by ChatGPT, My AI can do most things OpenAI's chatbot can, including answering trivia questions, offering advice on the perfect gift for someone's birthday or anniversary, helping plan a hiking trip for a long weekend, suggesting what to make for dinner, and more. Users can also personalize the chatbot by giving it a unique name and choosing a custom wallpaper for their chat.

According to Snapchat, My AI can only be removed by Snapchat+ subscribers at the moment. The AI chatbot was initially a Snapchat+ exclusive feature, and has now been released to all Snapchat users. Unfortunately, it looks like Snapchat wants as many users as possible to access My AI before providing an option to delete it from the chat feed. The only way to delete the chatbot at the moment is by paying for a Snapchat+ subscription, which many users aren't happy about. Snapchat+ users who are tired of My AI or find the feature gimmicky have multiple options to get rid of it.

How To Unpin Or Remove My AI From The Chat Feed

First off, Snapchat+ users can unpin the chatbot from their chat feed by going to the Snapchat+ management screen and toggling off My AI. This will not remove My AI from the chat screen, but will make sure that it won't remain at the top of the list. This is the best option for users who want to access My AI occasionally, but do not want a persistent My AI chat option at the top of their chat feed.

Users who don't fancy using My AI at all can also remove it entirely from their chat screen. This can be done in two ways. The first method involves swiping right from the camera screen to go to the Chat feed. Once on the chat screen, press and hold on 'My AI' and then select 'Chat Settings' on the menu. Finally, tap 'Clear from Chat Feed' on the next page. This will remove the chatbot from the chat feed.

There's also another way to do this. Tap on the profile icon or the Bitmoji in the top-left corner of the camera screen, and then hit the Settings symbol (gear icon) in the top-right corner. On the next page, scroll down to 'Privacy Controls,' select 'Clear Data,' and then tap on 'Clear Conversations' on the next page. Finally, hit the 'X' icon next to 'My AI' to remove the chatbot from the chat feed.

While My AI offers a great way for users to get quick information about various topics without having to do a traditional web search, it is not something that everybody will use. For users who don't enjoy using the feature, removing it from the chat feed is a good option to unclutter the chat screen. However, Snapchat users unhappy with their initial conversations with the bot should know that the more they interact with My AI, the more relevant its answers will be, so it might be worth using for a couple of weeks before dismissing altogether.

Apart from making My AI available to its global user base, Snapchat also announced a few new features for the chatbot. Users can design a custom Bitmoji avatar for the AI and give it a new name. They can also tag My AI in group chats with friends and ask it questions. It's also possible to share snaps with My AI and receive a chat reply. Snapchat+ subscribers can even send Snaps and receive an AI-generated Snap back from My AI.
