With coronavirus continuing to leave the world in isolation, online photo and video apps have become more important than ever. One way to spend the time alone or with friends online, is to game, and there are plenty of apps to help you do that.

Facebook recently launched a new Gaming app, but there are other options to choose from. In fact, some of the social media apps also contain games, meaning you won't have to download a whole new app to do it. This includes Snapchat with a variety of Snap Games available that can be used to play with friends within the app. For example, there's a game reminiscent of Mario Party which utilizes the users Bitmoji to challenge friends to mini-games, as well as a click-and-drag game in which you fling pizza into a cat's mouth to try to get a spot on the worldwide leaderboard.

As Pocket Lint pointed out, when Snap Games originally launched last year, only a limited number of games were available. However, that has changed over time and now there's plenty more to pick from. Before taking a closer look at some of the games, in order to launch one to play with friends, the user will need to access the Friends screen, enter a chat or group chat, tap on the rocket icon, and then select a game to play.

From Cats To Eggs & A Bitmoji Party

The first game to check out is called Pizza Cat and this one relies on a simple concept that all ages can enjoy. In this game, there's a pizza at one end of the room and a cat at the other. Tap and hold on the pizza and drag it towards the bottom of your screen. You'll then see a white-dotted line appear and this is the route the pizza will take. Now simply line up with the cat and release causing the pizza to fly towards the cat. As the levels progress, coins will appear for bonus points and new obstacles will block the route between the pizza and the cat - requiring critical thinking to come into play.

Up next is Flip The Egg. In this game, you play as your Bitmoji making an egg on what is a slippery frying pan. The egg travels to the left and right of the pan and even flying into the air. While in the air, tap and hold your screen to have your eggs do flips for points and collect coins. The trick to this game is figuring out how long it takes for the egg to do a flip -  if it lands yolk-side down, the egg will scramble and the round will be over. As you play the game more, you'll not only increase your score, but using the in-game coins can unlock skins for your egg to add an extra personal touch.

Finally, the last game is also the original Snap game, Bitmoji Party. In this one, you compete in various mini-games against seven other players to collect coins and win as many rounds as possible. Each mini-game begins with a "game master" selected who controls the round. This includes being the first infected in a game of Tag where the goal is to infect the other players, or control the boots direction and speed of the other players.

Overall these games are very quick to pick up as they utilize tap controls. In addition, they are short games which makes the rounds frequent and varied enough to provide endless enjoyment. While some of these games are individual experiences that compete on score, others create a real feeling of community as you play against friends, and other rivals around the world. If Snap Games doesn't feel right for you, then there's always Houseparty which has quickly become a popular choice for people to connect and game.
