Snapchat is currently facing another round of technical issues that are affecting a wide number of app users. This follows on from a very recent Snapchat issue that left a large number of users completely unable to use many of the camera-related features. Instead, Snapchatters were simply greeted with a black screen and not much else.

Snapchat is one of the more popular social network services around, and that’s in no small part thanks to its unique selling point of disappearing images. While that might have been why the service initially started gaining attention and traction, it has seen plenty of other features designed to increase user engagement with the app and each other. A process that has worked with the service still proving to be as relevant in 2020 as before.

However, Snapatchat is not without its bugs and issues with the latest example currently in effect right now. Over the last couple of hours, many Snapchat users have taken to other social media services, including Twitter, to point out how Snapchat is down. Furthermore, complaints are also currently building quickly on Down Detector, resulting in a massive outage spike today. Snapchat does appear to be aware of the issue, however, as it recently shared - on Twitter - that “some Snapchatters are having trouble using the app.” While also adding that they should “hang tight” while it works on the issue.

Variety Of Issues Affecting Snapchat Users

One of the more common points raised seems to be in relation to the sudden slowness of the app. Users are complaining that the app is not responding anywhere near as quickly as it should or usually does. However, there are more serious complaints from some, suggesting that the app has stopped working entirely for them, or that certain features - such as sending/receiving messages - are not working. Therefore, the extent to the issues are fairly wide, with a variety of users noticing an equally varied number of strange bugs and kinks.

Besides the ones that are detailing the actual issues they are facing, there are a lot of users simply taking the opportunity to point out how this is becoming too much of a frequent situation, and especially considering that the last major Snapchat outage took place barely over a week ago. Then there are those highlighting how coming to Twitter appears to be one of the only ways to actually find out if an issue is affecting just them or others as well. Again, for anyone who is facing any of the issues mentioned, or any other strange app behaviors, Snapchat says it is aware of the issue and working on a fix.
