Stars Henry Golding and Samara Weaving have revealed their dream Snake Eyes crossovers: Fast & Furious and Lord of the RingsSnake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, which is currently the #21 movie in the American box office for the year, premiered in theaters on July 23 and is currently available for digital purchase and on-demand rental. The G.I. Joe spinoff will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on October 19.

Crazy Rich Asians romantic lead, Henry Golding, stars as Snake Eyes. After saving the life of Storm Shadow, the heir-apparent of the Japanese Arashikage clan, Snake Eyes finds himself embroiled in a battle against perennial G.I. Joe villains, Cobra. Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) co-stars as Scarlett, a member of the G.I. Joe organization on hand to aid in the battle. The film also features Andrew Koji, Haruka Abe, Iko Uwais, and Úrsula Corberó.

Although Snake Eyes is firmly a part of the G.I. Joe universe, while speaking with Comicbook.com, Golding and Weaving were asked what other franchise would make their ideal crossover. Golding, who is clearly caught up with F9's most outrageous development, suggested a Fast & Furious crossover with Snake Eyes and Dom "going to the moon." Weaving went a bit more fantastical and chose Lord of the Rings, imagining a world full of "magic and elves and hobbits but also crazy ninjas." Read the full quote below:

Golding: What would you say about a side-by-side Dom and Snake Eyes going to the moon in their [vehicles]? One on his motorbike, Toretto in his crazy Charger or whatever. Let's do that. Let's Fast and Furious times Snake Eyes.

Weaving: What if we got something like Lord of the Rings with Snake Eyes? A Tolkien/Snake Eyes mix, where there's magic and elves and hobbits but also crazy ninjas? That would be kind of cool, maybe.

It is easy to envision how G.I. Joe and Fast & Furious might be able to make a crossover happen. The Snake Eyes crew certainly has familiarity with advanced vehicles and weapons tech, and the Fast & Furious movies have no qualms about going over the top, especially if those nods toward Fast & Furious musical ever come to fruition. The film could also feature Dwayne Johnson reprising his G.I. Joe: Retaliation role as Roadblock, seeing what he makes of Luke Hobbs.

Though, it's worth noting that Samara Weaving's uncle is Hugo Weaving, who appeared in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies as Elrond, so that crossover would be a family affair. Even if they couldn't pull the strings to make it happen, there's always a chance this offhand comment will lead to an epic TikTok somewhere down the line. Although a Fast & Furious crossover would certainly be a more doable prospect, the idea of Gandalf and the hobbits rubbing shoulders with the cast of Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is simply irresistible.
