The new movie reboots Paramount's G.I. Joe franchise, but does Snake Eyes have a post-credits scene setting up future films - and, if so, how many? Officially titled Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, the film launches a new adaptation of the world of Hasbro's toy line, with Henry Golding donning the mask of the mysterious ninja character. Since it's an origin story, Golding's character isn't quite the same as the silent ninja fans remember, but the movie still includes ties to the larger G.I. Joe mythos.

In addition to Golding, Snake Eyes stars Andrew Koji as Tommy Arashikage who will become classic G.I. Joe villain Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó as Cobra operative Baroness, Samara Weaving as G.I. Joe agent Scarlett, Haruka Abe as the Arashikage clan's head of security Akiko, Iko Uwais as Hard Master and Peter Mensah as Blind Master. Though it was originally set to release in 2020, Snake Eyes was delayed like many films due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, it's finally hitting the big screen and acting as the launchpad for Paramount's reinvigorated G.I. Joe film franchise.

With Snake Eyes releasing in theaters worldwide, moviegoers may be wondering if the film has any stingers during or after the credits. Snake Eyes has ONE post-credits scene, though it takes place early on in the credits after only a few slides. While it's always worth watching a film's credits to get an idea of who was involved in the production, Snake Eyes viewers should expect only one credits scene and it'll arrive shortly after the credits begin.

In terms of whether the Snake Eyes credits scene is worth sticking around for, since it's so early on in the credits, it won't take much waiting before moviegoers will be treated to the scene. Further, the scene does act as key setup for a potential Snake Eyes sequel, establishing what's next for a few important characters. So those invested in the G.I. Joe franchise or the Snake Eyes character would do well to wait and watch the credits scene.

Of course, it remains to be seen if Paramount will green-light the potential Snake Eyes 2 set up in the scene. Although it has become common practice for movies that are intended to launch a franchise to include credits scenes setting up future installments, if the initial film fails to perform, the franchise may be a non-starter - as was the case with 2019's Hellboy reboot. Snake Eyes early reviews haven't been overly positive toward the G.I. Joe reboot, but the real test of the film will be its box office. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Golding's ninja character and Paramount's new G.I. Joe universe, but those checking out the origin film in theaters will want to ensure they stick around for the Snake Eyes credits scene.
