Fan art has become a staple facet of the community, and one artistic fan took it upon themselves to recreate the entire Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster in the form of Among Us crewmates. While many of the skins would make cute additions to Among Us' wardrobe, some Super Smash Bros. characters would have a hard time convincing players that they aren't the imposter.

Among Us is an indie title released in 2018 which forces players to use their social deduction skills to weed out the imposters. While Among Us could easily be deemed a failure at launch, the simple yet addictive gameplay of Among Us has drawn in millions of new players to the two-year-old indie title. Similar to the rise in popularity of Fall Guys, Among Us' sudden fame has been met with various pieces of fan art depicting different video game characters as crewmates. But one fan has taken their love for Super Smash Bros. and Among Us to a new level of fandom.

Twitter user and artist Kocakup recreated the entire 82-character Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster as Among Us crewmates, and they look fantastic. The design of a crewmate is simple, and Kocakup stayed true to their simplistic nature. Among Us crewmates can don hats and costumes that add bits of humor to their pill-like stature. The Super Smash crewmates add the same small amount of detail without overbearing the characters. Because of this, it feels as if these designs could actually be a part of Among Us's costume wardrobe.

It's a lot of fun looking through the different Super Smash Bros. crewmates and name as many characters as possible. For seasoned Smash players, the iconic features of each character should make it pretty easy to decipher which crewmate represents which Smash characters, but casuals may have a harder time telling the plethora of Fire Emblem characters apart. Kocakup is also planning to release high-resolution images of each crewmate that people can use as their profile photos.

Fanart carries a negative connotation, but artwork like this proves that stigma wrong. Smash Bros. characters depicted as Among Us crewmates is something gamers didn't know they needed, but now that they are here we couldn't live without them. Maybe InnerSloth will catch wind of these designs and add them to Among Us, or maybe Mr. Sakurai will add crewmates to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in some form or fashion.
