Some players mod for better graphics, some for better gameplay, and then there are some players who want to try out the weirdest mods for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Luckily, there are a lot of strange mods to choose from online.

Skyrim is available on both PC and console, and both allow for modding. For consoles, it's usually as simple as finding a mod, installing it to the game, and playing. For PCs, however, there is a wider breadth of Skyrim modding sites and files available, so it's best that players use reputable sites and download a Mod Manager client to organize and interact with them safely.

Since Skyrim's released ten years ago, players have had the chance to play through the original content and the three DLCs: Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. Although the storylines can be played differently in various playthroughs, adding a mod can enrich the story and fundamentally change the way players experience the game. However, sometimes mods are outright weird. Here is a list of the weirdest new mods for Skyrim in 2022.

The Leaps of Faith Skyrim Mod

Skyrim Weird Mods Leap of Faith

The Leaps of Faith mod adds 12 points across Skyrim where players can jump from a great height. Jumping from one of these points shows a custom jumping animation and a small, but well-earned, bonus. If players ever wanted to pretend to be Altair, but in Skyrim, this weird mod might work.

The Burger Jarl Skyrim Mod

Skyrim Weird Mods Burger Jarl

It's exactly what it sounds like. The Burger Jarl mod in Skyrim adds a Burger Jarl fast food restaurant into Skyrim, complete with menu items like a Big Jarl, Breton Fries, a Jarl's Jr. Meal, and Mushroom Burger. The Burger Jarl is a new inn between Whiterun and Ririkstead, and it is run by Thorsteinn Burger-Flipper. In addition to ordering inside, there is a "drive-thru" option fitted for horses. It also has an in-house bard for entertainment, aptly named Carl the Jarl. Players can have fun ordering up some chicken nuggets in this weird new 2022 Skyrim mod.

The Croc Argonian Follower

Skyrim Weird Mods Croc Silly Voiced Argonian Follower

This mod has a long title: the Croc - Silly Fully Voiced Argonian Follower. This Skyrim mod introduces Croc as a follower. Croc says things like "Kersplat", "Yazoo", and "Shazam!" Croc is a legendary hero from the Gobbo Archipelago and he's meant to be a homage to a late-1990s game called Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. He has over 50 lines of custom-voiced dialogue, and he sounds silly. This weird Skyrim mod will certainly add some lighthearted fun to the game without changing the lore or essential gameplay.

The Thief of Sweetrolls

Skyrim Weird Mods Thief of Sweetrolls

One modder was clearly sick of being accused of stealing sweetrolls by the local guards, so they created the Thief of Sweetrolls mod. This mod adds in a gang of sweetroll addicts, wandering the various town and cities of Skyrim looking for sweetrolls to steal. As if Skooma wasn't addicting enough, now players can deal with these sugar fanatics.
