The Daedric Prince Sheogorath is arguably one of the most popular characters throughout not only all of Skyrim but previous games in the series as well, and there's even some amber that is shaped after him in the game. It's no surprise he's received so much attention from developers over the years. Sheogorath can be found starring in various questlines and even his own DLC, and he's connected to quite a few unique in-game items for the Dragonborn to collect. Several of these items were recently added to Skyrim with the release of the mod-filled Skyrim Anniversary Edition. Among the game's new host of Bethesda Creation Club content, players can find a suspiciously Sheogorath-shaped piece of amber.

Skyrim Anniversary Edition is the most recent of several Skyrim re-releases. In fact, as of 2021, Skyrim has been released on 10 different consoles and systems a total of 15 times. The Anniversary Edition launched ten years after the initial debut of Skyrim and added dozens of DLCs from Bethesda's Creation Club. It also included all three previously-released Skyrim expansions and the visual upgrades introduced in 2016's Skyrim Special Edition. Although some Elder Scrolls fans were excited to revisit Skyrim freshly after so long, others felt that the rerelease slowed down the development of The Elder Scrolls 6.

One of the most well-known Creation Club mods in Skyrim Anniversary Edition is Saints & Seducers. Saints & Seducers is based on Oblivion's Shivering Isles DLC and brings several elements from previous games back into the region of Skyrim. Golden and amber weapon and armor sets, rare Daedric artifacts, and familiar enemies return alongside multiple new quests for Skyrim players to pursue. However, one of the most unusual items introduced with Saints & Seducers is the Sheogorath-Shaped Amber, last seen in the Shivering Isles expansion. Although the uniquely-shaped piece of amber has various uses, it can only be used once.

What Skyrim's Sheogorath-Shaped Amber Does

Why Skyrim Has Sheogorath-Shaped Amber Staada

During Staada's quest in the Saints & Seducers questline, Skyrim players may choose to give her the Sheogorath-Shaped Amber. By doing so, the player will receive Skyrim's Sword of Jyggalag item in exchange. However, there's also the option to keep both at the price of fighting Staada. This might be the preferable option in order to hold onto the amber, especially for those fans of the Daedric Prince Jyggalag who were otherwise disappointed at his exclusion from Skyrim. If players manage to keep it, the Sheogorath-Shaped Amber can then be used as an ingredient at the Atronach Forge found within The Midden at the College of Winterhold. Of course, the option also remains to instead simply keep the Sheogorath-Shaped Amber as a collectible.

It isn't unusual for dedicated Skyrim players to opt to display some of their more unique items somewhere in the Dragonborn's home. There are plenty of player houses to get in Skyrim, more so with the release of Anniversary Edition, and many of them provide display cases for those looking to turn their dwelling into a museum. In Oblivion's Shivering Isles expansion, the Sheogorath-Shaped Amber could be donated to the Museum of Oddities. Though the same can't be said for the item in Skyrim, sentimental Elder Scrolls fans might still consider turning it into a display piece as a callback to its origins. Regardless of how the Dragonborn might opt to use it, the Sheogorath-Shaped Amber is an effective shoutout to the history of the Elder Scrolls series and, in particular, one of Skyrim's most popular returning characters.
