A new mod uploaded to Nexus Mods allows PC players to explore Dracula's Castlevania castle in the special edition for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Konami's beloved Castlevania property is arguably as popular as it's ever been, thanks in large part to Netflix's critically acclaimed animated series. It's a wonder, then, that the game publisher has yet to capitalize on said popularity by revisiting the brand's interactive adventures - barring the Anniversary Collection.

Of course, Bethesda Softworks has no qualms about repeatedly going back to the Skyrim well, with ports, merchandise, and more. No one can argue the open-world fantasy RPG doesn't deserve its continued celebrations, though. The title was ahead of its time in many respects, laying the groundwork for the likes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. In a few short months, Skyrim's 10th anniversary will be upon us. Thus, it hardly comes as a surprise that fans are diving back into the adventure, seeking new ways of further enhancing the experience.

As spotted by DSOGaming, modder ayrasci recently unleashed a Dracula's Castle mod for The Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim Special Edition. PC users can download the content via Nexus Mods, then venture to the castle near the Solitude Docks. Upon entering the vampire's ornate abode, players will find a series of quests, armors, weapons, and no shortage of enemies to combat. The latter, in particular, includes foes such as bats, foglings, and other undead wretches. In true dungeon-like fashion, these enemies will continue to respawn so long as Count Dracula lives. But those who don't want to simply beeline it to Dracula's Quarters may stumble upon points of interest like crafting stations and an armory, in addition to a gallery and underground cavern. Plus, there's plenty to discover and unlock after defeating the Count.

It seems an astonishing amount of detail went into this particular build. Thus, players should have plenty to sink their teeth into while navigating this fascinating Castlevania-inspired Skyrim mod.

Such content couldn't have gone live at a better time, either. As noted above, Skyrim will soon celebrate its 10-year anniversary, which falls on November 11, 2021. One way Bethesda and BGS plan to celebrate is by hosting a panel at QuakeCon on August 19 called, "Reliving the Opening of Skyrim with the Creators from BGS."
