There are plenty of ways to get creative in Skyrim, especially in the eyes of returning players who may have already experienced just about everything the game has to offer, and creating in-game cosplays of famous characters from other media is one way to do it. Here are a few of the community's most unique examples.

Skyrim includes dozens of armor combinations, many of which mix and match perfectly despite being from different sets altogether. As such, there are a nearly endless number of ways to customize the Dragonborn's appearance, from that of a humble farm worker, to a cloistered wizard, to a terrifying warrior.

This number grows dramatically for Skyrim players who are using mods, of course, thanks to the many armor and customization mods that exist for the game. Skyrim's modding community is prolific, thanks to a huge community and no shortage of tools. These examples, however, exclusively utilize the base game's character creation system and armor items.

Creating Ned Stark From Game Of Thrones In Skyrim

Skyrim In-Game Cosplay Famous Characters Armor Sean Bean Game Thrones Ned Stark Lord Rings Boromir

Sean Bean is an icon of the fantasy world thanks to his roles in Game of Thrones and The Lord of the Rings, so it's no surprise that he made his way over to Skyrim thanks to Reddit user ImperialDragonKnight. The only thing that's missing is Ulfric Stormcloak's outfit in order to bring Ned's iconic fur-cloaked look to life.

Skyrim's College Of Winterhold Brings Dumbledore To Life

Skyrim In-Game Cosplay Famous Characters Armor Harry Potter Albus Dumbledore Tolfdir College Winterhold Mages Guild

Although Tolfdir from Skyrim's mage questline already bears an uncanny resemblance to Harry Potter's Albus Dumbledore, GleamingSapphires on Reddit took things one step further by recreating the Hogwarts headmaster directly in-game. While there are no robes in Skyrim that exactly correspond to those seen in the Harry Potter film series, the College of Winterhold's outfits are at least a close equivalent.

Making A Skyrim Version Of Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman

Skyrim In-Game Cosplay Famous Characters Armor Gal Gadot DC Wonder Woman

Fantasy characters aren't the only ones that can be recreated in vanilla Skyrim, though, as seen by Reddit user Lucky1338's attempt to recreate Gal Gadot's rendition of the iconic DC superhero Wonder Woman in-game. Unfortunately, there's no way to wield a lasso of truth in Skyrim's base game, but a sword and shield combo sells the look just as well.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Combines Perfectly With Skyrim

Skyrim In-Game Cosplay Famous Characters Armor Eivor Assassin's Creed Valhalla Valheim

Eivor from Assassin's Creed Valhalla, as it turns out, fits in almost seamlessly with the world of Skyrim as proved by Reddit user BozZombiesArnie. While there's no vanilla armor that exactly matches that seen in-game, Skyrim's fur armor comes close and fits in well with the time period depicted in Valhalla. Given the game's cold climate, Viking-inspired looks are easy to create for any bored Skyrim players looking to bring something new to their Dragonborn. This is perhaps best seen by all the Skyrim and Valheim crossovers that have cropped up in recent months.
