With Skyrim's latest Anniversary Edition, a lot of new content has been added, including new homes, such as the one found at Gallow's Hall. However, if you are looking to get this home, you will need to complete a quest called "Dreams of the Dead." You will first need to reach Gallow's Hall, but finding this location is a bit tricky. You will be able to find the Hall by the banks of Mara's Eye Pond.

To find this home, look for a building next to a stone-brick structure. The home will also have its door sticking out slightly from the rock formation. Enter the home to start the "Dreams of the Dead" quest and start picking up torches within the room. This will be the first step to solving clues left behind by Gallow's Hall's previous owner, the Arch Necromancer.

How To Solve The Torch Puzzle

Once you pick up the torches, you will be required to solve a puzzle that requires activating the torches in a certain order.

The order in which the torches should be activated is:

1. Torch of Morthal

2. Torch of Falkreath

3. Torch of Nightgate Inn

4. Torch of Dunstad

Once finished, you will need to equip the Necromancer's Fallen Staff, the Staff of Worms.

Finishing Skyrim's Dreams of the Dead Quest

Two dead bodies, one lying on the floor and one in a coffin with no skin, in Skyrim

Once you have Staff of Warms equipped, look for a skeleton inside a coffin. You are specifically looking for a skeleton of a hooded mage in a coffin near the entrance. Use the staff to reanimate the mage skeleton and collect the Necromancer's Key from its inventory. This key will open a safe nearby, which will contain another clue and some rare items in Skyrim.

The second clue indicates that you will need to enter a dream. To do this, activate the Shrine of Vaermina and sleep on a bedroll. Your character will now enter a dreamy state, and you must collect three Dreamer's Greater Soul Gems that will come in handy later.

In this part of the "Dreams of the Dead" quest, Skyrim's Soul Gems can be found by searching the open and closed coffins about the room.

Place the gems on the Altar of the Revenant in the center of the room. A fourth gem will be lying beside the dead body on the ground. Once the player activates the altar, Skyrim's "Dreams of the Dead" quest will be complete, and the entrance to Gallow's Hall will be open.
