In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, to obtain Dravin's Bow, players will need to complete the quest 'Bow to the Master.' Players should speak with the dark elf Dravin Llanith at his home on Merryfair Farm to begin the quest. Dravin will advise the Dragonborn that his family heirloom bow has been stolen by thieves from Riften and taken back to the Ratway. Dravin will task the player to acquire the bow for him in exchange for a handful of gemstones.

The Ratway is a series of sewers and tunnels underneath Riften, and it is home to some minor enemies and traps players will encounter. Players can enter the Ratway vaults at the Ragged Flagon through the door to the right of the bar. Players will find the bow in the chest near the stairs, located in the lowermost room of the vaults. Players will first have to battle a Vagrant archer in Skyrim and a Lowlife to enter the room. Of note, players do not have to join the Thieves Guild to enter The Ragged Flagon.

The Vagrant archer will have a leveled bow, up to Imperial quality at level seven, equipped with 20 leveled arrows for his ranged attacks. The Vagrant archer will also have an iron dagger for melee attacks. The enemy may be carrying raw food, a leveled amount of gold, and has a good chance of carrying a lockpick. The Lowlife is a bandit enemy who will turn hostile immediately upon seeing the Dragonborn. They are typically equipped with an iron or steel mace or sword and iron, steel, or elven shield. The Lowlife has a chance of carrying some gold and a slight chance of carrying one of Skyrim's Gemstones.

Dravin's Bow Quest and Glitch in Skyrim

Skyrim: Dravin’s Bow Location

Once players have defeated the enemies and obtained Dravin's Bow from the chest in the Ratway vaults, they can travel to Merryfair Farm and return the family heirloom. Dravin Llanith will thank the player for returning the bow and gift them five leveled gemstones. The gemstones will be rewarded randomly, so players can save the game and reload before completing the quest if they are hoping to acquire a specific gemstone that they meet the level requirements for.

Of note, players can find Dravin's Bow before accepting the 'Bow to the Master' quest in Skyrim. If they find the bow before accepting the quest, they will be unable to complete it and receive the reward, even if Dravin explains his bow was stolen. Additionally, suppose Dravin is dead before assigning the quest to the player. In that case, the bow will still be considered a quest item and cannot normally be removed from the player's inventory. The bow can still be upgraded at a grindstone, but only placing it on a weapon rack will remove it from the player's inventory if the quest cannot be completed. Players can use a console command to complete the quest 'Bow to the Master' and turn in Dravin's Bow in Skyrim if this occurs
