In a new clip, one low-level The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim player has managed to acquire the strongest axe in the game by ingeniously tricking and defeating an enemy AI way earlier on than intended. More than a decade later, players continue to find hilarious ways to entertain themselves in Skryim due to an abundance of glitches and exploits that have increased its replayability. While most Bethesda titles feature glitches and significant errors due to their aged game engine, they are believed to add to the charm and have helped keep the games memorable beyond its longevity.

Released in 2011, Skyrim follows the popular action role-playing series set in the high fantasy continent of Tamriel. Upon its release, the title instantly became one of the most awarded and critically acclaimed games of its time due to its sandbox mechanics and detailed open-world, which allowed for limitless playability. With continued positive reception and more than 30 million copies sold, Skyrim received numerous re-releases on almost every platform starting from 2016. This includes Nintendo Switch, VR, a re-release on eight generation consoles, and another recent re-release on current-gen consoles with the Skyrim: Anniversary Edition, which packages the critically acclaimed action-RPG with additional content, new features, and enhanced improvements and graphics.

On Reddit, user frozenmollusk posted a clip of themself managing to acquire an Ebony War Axe with a level 1 character. During the clip, the player can be seen dueling with a high-level Draugr Overlord at the beginning of the game. In a clever manner, the player tricks the enemy AI by hiding behind a pillar and repeatedly popping out and hitting the Draugr who constantly misses and allows the player to have the upper hand. Due to the character being a low level, the dual goes on for almost two minutes before the player ultimately kills the Draugr Overlord, acquires the powerful axe and is seen maxing its one-handed ability to 24 with only a single encounter.

While Skyrim offers players a vast world full of weapons, quests and hidden secrets without a number, a lot of its mechanics have been exploited by players and the AI exploit shown in the video has likely been done by other players before. Similarly, another example was recently demonstrated by another player who used the dive-bomb exploit technique in Skyrim to crash a wedding and assassinate a minor character. These are only a few of the exploits players can run across or learn how to use during playthroughs.

Despite its age, players continue to find new ways to easily beat and play Skyrim. Fans who are looking forward to news regarding The Elder Scrolls 6 can easily jump into the Skyrim: Anniversary Edtion and enjoy another playthrough with new features, and may even try frozenmollusk's tactic to easily gain a powerful axe at the beginning of the game.
