After many delays caused the MGM Studios bankruptcy, the next James Bond movie - entitled Skyfall - is currently in production. Up until now, images from the set of the film have included such exciting bits as dirty bathrooms and clapperboards. Today, however, we have a more substantial look at Skyfall to share.
If you haven't been up on the developments with this latest Bond flick, here's a brief synopsis of Skyfall:
Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
Skyfall will include a variety of new cast additions to the Bond franchise, including Javier Bardem as a villain, Ben Whishaw as a younger version of MI6 tinkerer "Q"; and of course, the lovely Naomie Harris as "Eve," a field agent Bond encounters.
The latest Skyfall images focus on a rendezvous between Bond and Eve, and the clandestine exchange of a secret package. Is the box part of a major plot point, or just a minor Macguffin? Take at look at the set photos and decide for yourself:

With acclaimed director Sam Mendes (American Beauty) at the helm, expectations for Skyfall are understandably high (no pun). Will the film finish up the Quantum Organization story started in Casino Royale and continued in Quantum of Solace? Will the mysterious antagonist from M's past be none other than Blofeld (played by Ralph Fiennes)? Or will Skyfall use some combination of classic Bond elements (Blofeld) and the more recent Quantum mystery?
These are just some the questions still hanging over this film. Stay tuned as more answers emerge.
Skyfall will be in theaters on November 9, 2012.
