There are a lot of differences between the original SUPERHOT and SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE. The newer title manages to be even more absurd and incorporates rogue-like elements like a randomly generated environment and enemy placements. It makes each playthrough wildly different than the last, which is a great thing for replayability. There was one strange choice that the developers made at the very end of the game though.
Once players make their way through SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE they will find themselves hit with a long progress bar. The game then informs the player that they must wait two and a half whole hours before playing the game. This means that those who want to continue playing must let their system run for two and a half hours straight and can't do anything else until the timer runs out. SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE: Skip Eight Hours
Once again this option is only for those who are playing on the PC, as they will need to mess around with the game's files. Those who are on consoles will not have the ability to do this, so they will sadly have to sit through the entirety of the two and a half-hour time limit. Those who are on PC though will need to go into their game's save files and edit them.
The first thing that players will want to do is back up their save file just in case they make any mistakes. This can be done by going over to the AppData folder inside your computer and locating another folder that says SUPERHOT_Team. From there, there will be another folder that says SHMCD, and within it players will find their save file. This file should be named "shmcd.save". The best bet is for players to copy the file and save it somewhere they won't lose it.
Next players will need to open up the save file in a program like Notepad so that they can begin editing some of the information inside. Inside there will be what looks like just a random string of letters and numbers, but rest assured that all of this is very important for SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE's save files. Players will need to search inside the file until they discover a string of letters that begins with the letters "ZB". In this string players will find the letter "V", which they will need to delete and change into an "H". From there they will just need to save the file and relaunch their game. This should put them past the timer and let players get back to playing SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE.
