Sister Wives star Kody Brown always wanted a large family to celebrate life's milestones with, so it didn't go unnoticed that most of his relatives seemed to ignore him on his 54th birthday. He celebrated the big day on Jan. 17 of this year. Kody has seemingly done little to rebuild the bridges that he burned with his family last year. The father of 18 always wanted to feel like the king of his domain, but after being snubbed, he is feeling more like a mere peasant.
After watching the latest season, it's hard to have a lot of sympathy for Sister Wives' Kody. While trying to navigate the murky waters of divorce with Christine Brown, the patriarch went on to alienate most of his remaining family members. The Wyoming native shared how he felt like he had been stabbed in the kidney. He believed that he'd been betrayed by most of his family. While Kody expected blind loyalty, his remaining wives just wanted some respect. Instead, they were told to kiss the ring or leave, as Kody couldn't love a woman who didn't put him on a pedestal.
Did Kody Brown Celebrate His Birthday?
After another trip around the sun, it doesn't look like Kody is too excited about being one year older. Also, Kody's current spouse Robyn Brown and his three former spouses, Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine didn't bother posting shout-outs to the Sister Wives star on his birthday. Additionally, it didn't go unnoticed that none of his children marked the occasion with a post. Kody hasn't been heard from since he discussed his breakup with Meri on Instagram and Twitter. It's surprising that his favorite (and only) wife Robyn didn't add a loving tribute to her king.
Kody Brown's Ex-Wives Are Living Large
All of Kody's ex-wives have been very active on social media, but none of them have really mentioned their former life. Christine did surprise fans with a recent photo of her newborn twin grandsons. In the comments, a fan asked if twins ran in the family, and Christine did reply, noting, "Kody had twin nieces," However, this has been the only time that Christine has mentioned him on her social media. Janelle just got back from a trip to Disneyland, and made no mention of her ex-husband. Even Meri has started to advertise her Real Life Retreat that will focus on loving oneself, which could be a jab at Kody.
Since the latest Sister Wives season ended, Kody has been dealing with little fires everywhere within his life. For most, a birthday is a cause for celebration, but it seems like the family treated Tuesday, January 17, 2023 as just another day. Hopefully, Kody can get his remaining ducks in a row. He may have a much better year ahead, but people shouldn't bet on that positive outcome.
