As viewers are aware, Sister Wives season 16 did a total 180-degree turn from past seasons. Kody was featured as a husband who struggled to keep any of his four wives happy. TLC cameras followed him as he tried his best to navigate a safe passage for his entire family during the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of everyone working together, Kody was made out to be the villain as he implemented strict rules. Ultimately, that drastic change in lifestyle caused his family to drift apart. Now, not only is Kody still dealing with angry wives, but he is also dealing with angry children.
Sister Wives season 17 has already begun filming according to Christine and Kody's son Paedon Brown. The National Gaurd soldier revealed it on TikTok, saying that production had already started in January 2022. Paedon's hint led fans to believe that Christine would be on the show despite moving back to Utah. Christine was also given a new web series on the official TLC website called Cooking With Just Christine, which is currently airing on Sundays. Fans will be able to cook some of the Brown family recipes in their own kitchens.
It also looks like Janelle may have a bigger storyline since she isn't on the same page as Kody anymore. Last season, viewers watched as Janelle and Kody clashed on some fundamental values, especially over COVID-19 rules. In the end, she chose her children's side, who wanted to keep living a more normal life. There may also be a few therapy sessions caught by the cameras.
