TLC recently announced their popular reality TV show Sister Wives, is set to return for its sixteenth season in November and will follow the family as they struggle with the COVID-19 pandemic. In recent seasons, fans have gotten more and more upset with Kody's fourth wife, Robyn. They blame Robyn for much of the dysfunction going on within the family, claiming Kody openly favors Robyn to the other wives. Fans have pointed out on a number of occasions the, what they call, special treatment Robyn has always gotten from Kody. She was given a longer honeymoon than the rest of the wives; he has been more loving towards her and has shown more interest in her life. Plus, he asked for a divorce from Meri to legally marry Robyn, asking Meri to make a huge sacrifice.

For some time now, there has been suspicion that both Meri and Christine are leaving the family because of their unhappiness. A while back, Meri posted cryptic messages on Instagram leading fans to think she was moving on. She posted about how good it feels to finally be around people who uplift her rather than tear her down. Christine also sparked rumors of her departure from the family, partly due to her obvious desire to move back to Utah to be with family. On top of that, it was recently discovered that she put her house in Flagstaff, Arizona, on sale. It's possible she is selling the house because she is moving back to Utah, but also possible she's going to live on the land the family owns like Jenelle is.

According to In TouchSister Wives season 16 will premiere on TLC on November 21. This season will once again deal with Christine's desire to move to Utah. According to a press release acquired by In Touch, Kody and Christine begin to discuss the possibility, or lack thereof, of moving the family once again. He brings up this idea to the rest of the wives, and they all come out against the idea. When Kody talks to Christine and tries to persuade her to forget the idea of moving states, Christine is unable to handle the disappointment and walks out of the room crying. She wants to move to Utah because some of her children and her grandchildren are still living there, and she wants to be closer to them.

There also seem to be issues in the family surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Janelle's family and Kody and Robyn's family had differing opinions on how to handle the pandemic and which protocols they thought were necessary to follow. They spent Christmas apart because Christine and Janelle were not on board with Kody's protocols for them. Christine seemed especially upset that they had to celebrate their anniversary in accordance with social distancing guidelines. In more positive news, it seems as if Kody and Meri are headed towards a much better place, and the building of their homes will finally start on Coyote Pass.

Throughout the seasons, the tension between the wives and Kody has grown, and it seems as if the women are only growing more unhappy as time goes on. It will be interesting if any of their issues are resolved this season or if more rise up. Christine in particular seems to be extremely unhappy living in Arizona and clearly wants to move to Utah more than anything. It will be interesting to see if she will ever decide to leave the polygamist lifestyle and venture out on her own for the first time. This season of Sister Wives is sure to give fans a lot of insight into how the family dynamics have changed since the start of the pandemic and whether or not a wife leaving the family is an actual possibility.
