The Sister Wives fandom questions Robyn Brown's motives for almost every decision she makes, and here's why fans are skeptical of the reality star's insistence that she and Kody should rent a home. Over the course of her decade on Sister Wives, Robyn has been deemed untrustworthy by viewers. Many fans claim that even when she's crying, she's manipulating others (cue the nickname, Sobbin Robyn). Despite Robyn's constant argument for a rental, this is why some viewers think that the Sister Wives star got what she wanted all along when Kody bought a new home.

Throughout her 10 seasons on TV, Robyn has been scrutinized by fans for just about anything. From crying too much to straining the other wives' relationships with Kody, Robyn has served as an outlet for the grievances of the Sister Wives audience. While some of the viewers' criticism of Robyn comes across as uncalled for, certain fans have made compelling cases for their issues with the sister wife. Primarily, Sister Wives fans think that Robyn is strategic about her relationship with Kody and is careful to make sure that she remains his favorite.

Since Kody Brown got married to Robyn in May 2010, the polygamist patriarch has treated his other wives differently. Specifically, Kody's spiritual marriage to his first wife, Meri Brown, has been full of low points. Overall, the fans believe that Robyn knows how to influence Kody to spend most of his time with her, leaving little affection for Meri, Janelle, and Christine. Recently, Robyn and Kody disagreed about whether they should buy or sell a new home in Flagstaff. The Brown family had difficulty finding long-term homes to live in after their move out of Las Vegas. After Robyn's house was sold, she was persistent about finding a new home that the Brown family could rent, not buy. On Sister Wives season 14, Robyn hoped to rent a new home in Sedona, Arizona, where she could live in with her five children. On the other hand, Kody was hellbent on buying a new house.

Even though Kody and Robyn are the closest of all the Sister Wives stars, this was one disagreement that the duo couldn't see eye to eye on. Kody believed that the difficult housing market in Flagstaff made it too difficult to rent a home in the area. Robyn had faith that God wanted her to have a rental, but Kody ultimately purchased a home for nearly $1 million dollars. While Robyn shared her disappointment, some Reddit fans think that it all went according to her plan. One Reddit user wrote, "I think her being against buying a house was all for the show. She just wanted everyone to think she was making this huge 900k house sacrifice... Don't buy it." Another fan agreed, "She’s just laying it on way too thick for it to be real."

It's no shocker that fans are critical of Robyn Brown and are assuming that she protested against her husband's real estate vision just to look good on Sister Wives, and it indicates how little viewers trust Robyn. While she might have been genuine in her hopes for finding a rental and saving money, audiences that aren't fond of Robyn still see her as a manipulator that controls every situation. While her true intentions remain a mystery, Sister Wives fans have made their anti-Robyn feelings clear as day.
