Mykelti was born on June 9, 1996, and raised in Lehi, Utah with her infamously abundant family. At 24 years old, Mykelti is the fifth oldest of the 18 Brown children. Mykelti is her mother, Christine's, second kid of six, the other five children being Aspyn Thompson, Paedon, Gwendlyn, Ysabel, and Truely. As her father, Kody's, fifth oldest child, Mykelti has experience on and off of the family's reality show, Sister Wives. The TLC series began taping the Brown family in 2010 when Mykelti was 14. But after four years of sharing her life as part of a plural family, Mykelti began her own journey detached from reality TV. After graduating from high school in 2014, Mykelti decided to follow the footsteps of her older siblings, Logan Brown and Aspyn Thompson, and attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Fans of Sister Wives know Mykelti was inspired by fashion and wanted to pursue a career as a designer. Fans might also remember Mykelti's father Kody not being supportive of his daughter's passion for fashion. While at UNLV, Mykelti studied fashion and even landed a design internship in 2015. Mykelti took some notes from her sister Aspyn's experience at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, as she joined her sister's sorority and the two were even roommates at the college. The fashion student's plans changed suddenly, however, when Mykelti started dating Antonio Padron in October 2015. The couple's romance developed rapidly and by June 2016, Mykelti was engaged to Antonio. Only a few months later, Antonio and Myketli got married on December 17, 2016, at a country club in St. George, Utah. Despite Mykelti's parents' polygamous lifestyle, she and Antonio intend to keep their marriage singular.
On April 5, 2021, Mykelti and Tony welcomed their daughter Avalon to their small family. Mykelti often shares updates on her life with her husband, Tony, daughter Avalon, and pet dog Spader on her social media. On her Instagram account @mykeltip, Mykelti has over 200,000 followers. The new mother's Instagram feed is full of pictures of Avalon growing up, as well as photos of Mylketi in her favorite fashion ensembles. Mykelti also uses her Instagram to promote her business, Mykelti's Whimsical Boutique. The boutique is associated with LuLaRoe, a nationwide women's fashion company.
