The stars of Sister Wives have several different passions and businesses pursuits, and here's everything we know about their jewelry and clothing company My Sisterwife's Closet. From Janelle Brown's real estate career to Meri's Bed and Breakfast, Kody Brown's wives have experience as entrepreneurs as well as reality TV stars. One of the Browns' businesses has been a mystery to fans for some time now, so here's everything about the background and potential future for My Sisterwife's Closet.

The Sister Wives started their online business, My Sisterwife's Closet, several years ago. Even though it was active for a handful of years, the company has been in a puzzling limbo for the past 2 years. The fans became confused about whether or not the shop was closed for good, and some viewers even went on to develop theories about Kody covering up the fate of the jewelry and clothing line.

The last official word from the reality stars about the status of My Sisterwife's Closet came from 42-year-old sister wife Robyn Brown in 2019. Responding to a question about when the business would be back and running, Robyn promised that the boutique would be back up and running shortly. Needless to say, My Sisterwife's Closet has proven to be a challenge that even Robyn can't control.

According to the official website for My Sisterwife's Closet, the store was a team effort launched by Robyn, Meri, Christine, Janelle, and Kody Brown. The polyamorous family even added a personal quote to their homepage, "We have always had a dream to develop and design quality products made in the United States that the everyday woman would use and treasure… but add our own personal touch while promoting femininity, strength, and family." The My Sisterwife's Closet website cites "humanity and the American Dream" as inspiration for their products. Although all five Sister Wives stars receive credit for starting the business, Kody's legal wife Robyn is said to be the sisterwife who's in charge. Unfortunately, Robyn may have bitten off more than she can chew, as the store hasn't been active for a couple of years.

When entering the site, visitors are greeted with a pop-up that exclaims, "We'll be back soon!" The message reveals that the reason why My Sisterwife's Closet is currently closed is that the sister wives "are busy updating the store." Alas, this pop-up has not changed since the site first stopped selling merchandise in May 2019. According to The Sun, My Sisterwife's Closet still owned an active business license as of May 2020. The strange case of the Browns family's business has prompted critics of Robyn Brown and her family to come up with theories about what's going on with My Sisterwife's Closet.

Fan Theories About My Sisterwife's Closet

One Reddit user wrote that they believe that Kody Brown had to get rid of the store as a complication of the family's poor financial status. The user recalled how Robyn and Kody were unable to get an investor to fun My Sisterwife's Closet and had to get a loan of $50,000 from a pawnshop owner. The fan explained that Kody had to use My Sisterwife's Closet as collateral for the loan they received and theorized that "the investor took it for nonpayment" after the business didn't end up making enough money. It could be that fans are too hard on Kody Brown, but another user said they think the whole investor meeting was a sham, claiming: "We don't think those were real investors." A different Reddit user commented that the pawnshop owner also "[officiated] Tony and Mykelti's wedding," adding another bizarre twist to the already confusing story of My Sisterwife's Closet.

Because all five Sister Wives stars took a part in its creation, My Sisterwife's Closet symbolizes the potential for unity between the husband and sister wives. Unfortunately, much like Kody's marriages with his 4 wives, the current state of its wellness is up for debate. Hopefully, questions about the company will be answered during a future season of Sister Wives.
