Sister Wives viewers found Meri Brown extremely calming when she revealed she could understand why Christine Brown felt trapped in her marriage to Kody Brown. There is no denying that Kody's third wife felt extremely isolated. The pandemic and lack of love took a toll on the family, with Meri sharing her thoughts on Christine and Kody's failing marriage.

Throughout the history of Sister Wives, TLC viewers have mostly taken Meri's side in her relationship with Kody. Their union has been complicated and hindered by her catfishing incident. Since that mark on Meri occurred, Kody has steered clear of his first wife and seems to place little value on their union. Even though Kody has come off as cruel at times, Meri appears to have found a new sense of love for herself in the newest season. Meri is even sharing her opinions on why her sister wife Christine may have felt trapped in a loveless marriage.

There is no doubt Meri has a new pep in her step when it comes to dealing with Kody. For seasons, the two have kept their distance, but it looks like they are starting to mend their broken fences in season 16. Kody and Meri met up for a chat and ended up having a pretty emotional conversation. Meri shared she was worried about Kody's marriage to Christine, saying she felt "trapped." Kody did not seem phased by the revelation as he revealed to Meri he first agreed to move with Christine to Utah.

Even though Kody admitted he was a total "jackwagon," it didn't help to soothe Meri's fears for her husband's third union. While Meri shared she didn't want to move back to Utah, she also showed compassion for Christine, noting it was very important to her. Meri also pointed out that each wife has become too comfortable being alone after moving from Las Vegas to Flagstaff. When Kody asked if Christine's crisis was worse, Meri noted it was "different."

While up at Coyote Pass, Christine confided in Meri that she couldn't be married to Kody any longer. Meri tried to supply some encouraging words by telling Christine not to give up. Later in the episode, Christine told cameras she was not willing to have a relationship like the one Kody and Meri have. Most likely, the chat between Meri and Kody was a precursor of what was to come: Christine recently announced that, after over 25 years of marriage, she would be walking away from her relationship with Kody and moving to Utah independently.
