Star of Sister Wives Meri Brown has been sharing some mysterious posts on Instagram, and fans are wondering what they mean. Some have speculated that her posts are just innocent photos but others think they have deeper meaning. Some of Meri’s hidden messages have to do with toxic relationships, which has led fans to believe she is on the verge of leaving Kody, her husband of over 30 years.
When it comes to Instagram, Meri is no stranger to posting. She frequently updates her account with photos of herself and her children, keeping followers filled in on what she’s up to. But once Meri began putting up a handful of meaningful quotes, fans were suspicious. Typically her posts are just photos and videos from her life, accompanied by short captions. For instance, Meri announced the reopening of her bed and breakfast back in June, much to the excitement of her supportive followers. She also posted on Instagram about her mother's passing, and fans were quick to sympathize with her. However, some posts by Meri are a bit harder to decipher.
One of Meri's posts read, “Sometimes you're being fully manipulated and you know it. Don't worry. Power stance is ON!” Her comment section then flooded with users asking about Kody. While some stopped to admire Meri’s appearance, others told her she should get rid of him. Perhaps she was referencing the low points in her and Kody’s relationship. For example, Kody once called her dream of opening a bed and breakfast a waste of money and wouldn’t help her pay for it. He also shut down her desire to have more children without any discussion. Because of situations like these, Meri's fans have hyped her up, telling her she deserves someone better than Kody. However, while it might seem like a smart guess to assume the post was hinting at her problems with Kody, Meri has never confirmed anything.
Meri has also posted a few questionable Instagram stories. One read, "Be yourself no matter what. Some will adore you, and some will hate everything about you." Another said, "I am a strong woman because a strong woman raised me." But one that really got her followers curious stated "never say sorry for ending a relationship that is toxic or doesn’t make you happy." For years, viewers have been convinced Meri's relationship with Kody is no good, and some believe these posts indicate she's starting to realize that herself.
However, Meri has also implied she’s happy with her family. Meri recently took a trip to Mexico, which led some to think she was trying to get away from her husband. But according to Meri, the trip was nothing more than a much-needed vacation. One user commented, “I have watched you on Sister Wives from the beginning of that series. I truly hope that you are free of that whole situation with [K]ody. You deserve so much more & better. Blessings.” Meri responded asking, “That situation? You mean my marriage and my family?” When another follower of hers asked about her family's absence, she responded saying they were all over the map and asked the user, "Does that help?" Though some thought Meri was reading a little too much into the simple question and gave a response decorated with sass, others backed her up declaring she's allowed to take vacations by herself and can do so while maintaining an unbreakable bond with the rest of the polygamous Brown family.
Fans may never know whether Meri's posts were directed towards Kody or not. But even so, they can continue to believe what they choose. The Sister Wives cast has shown that like most people they have their ups and downs. So even if Meri was indicating any unhappiness with Kody, it very well could have been a typical marriage spat they moved on from.
