Meri Brown of Sister Wives is facing accusations regarding her treatment of the children in the family. Meri and Kody tied the knot first in 1990, but it wasn't happily ever after. Soon after their nuptials, their marriage began to experience some troubles as Kody quickly decided to bring in another wife in an attempt to heal the fractures.

The rookie move didn't work and instead caused Meri and Kody to drift apart. For years, Meri struggled to have another child. As shown on Sister Wives, she would become agitated when the other wives would talk about their multiple pregnancies. Still, Meri seemed kind to the children when the TLC cameras were around.

Christine Feels Meri Had "Frustrations" Over Kody

In the Browns' book Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconventional Marriage, Christine spoke out about Meri's passive-aggressive attitude towards the rest of Kody's children. After an intense argument between the mother of six and Meri, Christine revealed that, more often than not, Meri would "over-discipline" the children to exercise her "frustrations" with Kody. Christine shared an in-depth re-telling in the book about their 2009 falling out. She wrote Meri would often target Christine's five children at the time - Aspyn, Mykelti, Paedon, Ysabel, and Gwen - noting her kids became "wary" of Meri.

Christine's Children Back Up Her Claims

While the book was published over ten years ago, just recently, Paedon, Gwen, and Mykelti have spoken out about their issues with Meri. Paedon noted that Meri was often abrasive and mean, saying she was "not nice" to be around. The aspiring firefighter went as far as to allege that Meri's actions turned physical against them. Gwen also backed up her brother's claims noting that there was a time when Meri came across as scary when she was physical with Mykelti.

Christine and Meri have had their own set of issues for years, as it recently came out that Christine didn't feel her relationship with Kody's first wife was safe. Since leaving the polygamous family, Christine has cut all ties with Meri and shared she has no reason to rekindle a friendship. Meri has yet to address any of the allegations against her but still has been updating her social media with posts about hanging out with her friends. It remains to be seen if more information about the Sister Wives star's past behavior toward the Brown children will come to light.
