While Robyn said she felt like a scapegoat for the family, despite being known as Kody's favorite, Meri said that she has not felt like she was a part of the family for years. Despite the fact that Meri has always been a divisive cast member since the show started, many felt bad for her then and wondered if she would ever leave Kody for good.
Her deteriorating relationship with Kody was more evident than ever in the Sister Wives Tell-All episodes. Meri revealed that she and Kody have not been intimate in over a decade, and Kody said they likely never will be again. Meri also said that she understood why Christine left Kody eventually, as she had also revealed that she no longer had an intimate relationship with Kody. Since Meri and Kody essentially have a friendship, and she has been living on her on more than interacting with him, many feel that she will leave him any day.

Since her only daughter is grown and she is no longer in a strong relationship with Kody, it would be the perfect time for her to set out on her own. On Meri's Instagram, she has seemed happier than ever, despite saying she is estranged from Kody. Meri looks to be traveling and growing her fashion retail business without Kody in the picture.
In Meri's latest Instagram post, she revealed that she was in Oregon and said in the post that she was excited "about my plans and dreams ahead of me, and ready for the doors that I'm positive will open for me." Meri has been known to share cryptic messages on her Instagram, and fans are divided over whether this is hinting at her intention to leave her husband for good or not. Reddit user r/OperaPooch said, "I doubt she left...but she should really really leave" while r/mlyt18 believes she stays for the show, adding "I've said for a long time Meri only comes back for filming."
