During a recent episode of Sister Wives, Kody Brown had the bright idea to tell Meri she should move to her B&B in Utah, which many viewers found cruel. The comment came shortly after the passing of Meri's mother, Bonnie. Kody claims there was no malice behind the comment, but Meri is starting to think otherwise.

Even though Kody is still upset about his recent split from Christine, it is no excuse for now trying to push Meri away from the homestead. For the last few episodes, he has expressed regret over his split with Christine, but he seems quite content to let his first wife go. As viewers learned, following her mother's passing, Meri is trying the figure out what to do with Lizzie's Heritage Inn, which is located a few hours away in Parowan, Utah. Since Meri has been struggling with grief, she has decided to temporarily close the inn while she figures everything out.

Meri reached out to Kody in hopes of getting some much-needed support. However, Kody thought it was a smart move to suggest Meri make a permanent move to the inn. Meri revealed to cameras that Kody urged her to make the move quite quickly. But as Sister Wives viewers know, Meri has made it clear since purchasing the inn that she has no intention of ever living there. Kody very much thought that Meri choosing to buy the property was her escape plan all along.

Janelle, Christine, and Robyn quickly came to Meri's defense as they backed her claim that she never wanted to move to Utah in the first place. With five hours between them, Kody would be free to live almost monogamously with Robyn. For years, the father of 18 has chosen his fourth wife over his other three. During the worldwide pandemic and his strict rules, he stayed in Robyn's home, choosing not to see the rest of his family. Sister Wives viewers feel that Kody is trying to get a clear path to just being with Robyn, and having Meri out of the picture would make that easier.

With Christine gone and Janelle living out on Coyote Pass, Kody has all the time in the world to pretend to be a husband of one. This season of Sister Wives will show Kody in his darkest days as he navigates the waters of divorce. For years, he has not made time for Meri, Janelle, or Christine, forcing them to forge their own roads. Meri has stuck it out with Kody and seems hopeful that they can once again have an intimate relationship. However, Kody's latest comments suggest he has other plans in mind.
