After the most recent episode from Sister Wives season 17, fans are convinced that Kody Brown sees himself as a God and may suffer from a God complex. The father of 18 is having a hard time with criticism as he always talks about being the head of his family. Now with one wife gone, Kody seems to be tightening the reigns on his large polygamous family.

Sister Wives fans were appalled during Sunday's all-new episode when Kody, who lost weight during Sister Wives, announced that his three remaining wives, Meri, Janelle, and Robyn Brown, would now have to "conform to patriarchy." Kody explained to the group that he was bitter after the lengthy discussion with Christine Brown didn't go as planned. In a bold statement, Kody declared, "I'm going to be the head of my household again, and so I'm not going to be circumvented in that."

While saying his peace to the rest of the Sister Wives cast, Kody explained that he has been fighting for years to make everyone happy, noting that his bitterness stemmed from not having the family he had "thought about and designed." Kody, who annoys the other Sister Wives stars, continued his rant by telling his wives that if the relationships became too awkward or he didn't feel in charge, he wouldn't allow the whole family to be together. He concluded his tirade by saying, "I'm at a point now in my life where I don't have time to waste on people who won't respect me or treat me with respect."

Janelle Brown Didn't Sign Up For Patriarchy

Janelle Brown gets emotional in Sister Wives

Each of Kody's wives' faces seemed shocked, with Janelle quickly telling TLC cameras that she never agreed to patriarchy. For Sister Wives fans who did any research on the word "patriarchy," they would have learned that it's a system where the father is the head of the household, no questions asked. Janelle, who is an empty nester, sarcastically spoke out in her confessional, saying she didn't know that was what she had signed up for and not what was agreed upon at the beginning of their relationship. Kody, naturally, had other opinions as he rebutted Janelle's claims saying she had at one point agreed with him.

Even Kody's favorite wife, Robyn, looked a bit concerned. Sister Wives fans could see that Robyn was worried Kody had gone off the deep end and had become power hungry since Christine left him. In her own confessional, Robyn shared that she hoped the family was taking Christine's departure seriously since the move would devastate the family. For now, Kody, who's co-parenting with Christine, is still trying to figure out the best way to keep control of his remaining three wives, but fans feel some other spouses may not be too far behind Christine.
