Kody Brown has made his opinions known once or twice on Sister Wives, but now fans are getting a more in-depth look into what the patriarch thinks of the FLDS. Kody has always preached about the positive attributes of living a polygamous lifestyle. After decades of living the polygamous Mormon way, viewers are now getting to know Kody's innermost personal thoughts.

For decades, Kody and his large family have helped polygamy enter mainstream media through their family show on TLC. Viewers have watched the family escape persecution and even protest laws in Utah. For years, fans could see that Kody and his four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn Brown, are passionate about their beliefs and way of living. Sadly, dysfunction and jealousy started to hinder the family and caused concern amongst viewers. Like multiple other Mormon sects, Kody has proved his family isn't untouchable either.

Thanks to the Internet Archive, fans have had a chance to read the Brown's memoir, Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconventional Marriage, cover to cover. Inside the book, each of the Browns drop tiny bombshells about their lives. Kody, who may have a Napoleon Complex, even opened up about the famed Mormon offshoot. The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is one of the fundamentalist and more extreme Mormon denominations whose members practice polygamy openly. With 10,000 members, each is loyal to the prophet Warren Jeffs who was convicted of two felony counts of child sexual assault.

Kody Brown in Sister Wives

In the Sister Wives book, Kody takes a stab at trying to explain the difference between the FLDS and the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB). Kody shared that the extreme Mormons are such a small subset in the religion; however, the FLDS has allowed a "handful of abusive" people to become "the poster children of polygamy in America." Kody made his intentions clear to viewers noting the FLDS "are not my beliefs. This is not my world.”

After Sister Wives season 16, Kody has been lying low. The season showed him losing control of his family and even having Christine Brown leave their 25-year marriage. Many fans feel Kody has fallen out of love with polygamy and has every intention of living a monogamous lifestyle with his fourth and favorite wife, Robyn Brown. The couple was recently spotted on a date night in Arizona as they danced at a bar. For now, Kody seems to believe in polygamy, but no one knows how much longer he will choose to live the lifestyle since it's recently brought him more heartache than joy.
