The divorce between Sister Wives stars Christine and Kody Brown has just become even uglier after the father of 18 was caught trying to lie to his ex-wife regarding their child custody case. Christine has been more than open with viewers about how Kody has been an absent parent. However, now faced with the prospect of their daughter Truely being moved to another state, Kody has decided to fight dirty.
Sister Wives viewers were disgusted by Kody's behavior in a recent episode. He clearly tried to gaslight Christine into thinking she needed to file legal paperwork regarding Truely's custody. While taking part in a sit-down chat, Kody revealed false information stating he and Christine were required to have a child custody agreement or the state of Arizona would become the "owner" of Truely.
Kody Confesses To Lying About Child Custody Laws
During his Sister Wives confessional, Kody revealed a dark side, sharing he got "creative" when it came to talking about a custody agreement. Christine started to question the legal need for such an arrangement, and Kody clearly panicked, claiming the "rule book" said to. However, in the state of Arizona, there is no legal need for the courts to take over a child custody case if both parents have agreed to a private plan. Kody even started to act like a bully as he told Christine a lawyer would take all her money, so it would be in her best interest to get a legal 50/50 agreement.
Kody seemed to be grasping at straws with his claims and angered viewers in the process. The idea that Kody has such hubris that he would blatantly lie to the mother of some of his children is cause for concern. His actions insinuate that he has no respect for Christine and, in fact, believes her to be uneducated since he assumes he can hoodwink her into submission. Christine clearly took note of the lie as she mocked Kody in her side interview, asking cameras if Kody doesn't understand that she wants him around her kids. Sadly, Christine is more than aware that Kody doesn't trust her.
Kody has not been a fan favorite for years, with his most recent actions leaving him in the dog house with Sister Wives viewers. The current season has shown just how angry and bitter Kody has become. Even his fourth and favorite wife, Robyn, isn't enjoying being around him lately. Kody has become fixated on the fact that he could possibly come under attack by the Utah government once Christine moves back. Viewers feel Kody is doing himself more harm than good by lying, but he seems fixated on bringing his ex-wife down.
