Kody Brown has been accused of prioritizing his relationship with his fourth wife, Robyn, in Sister Wives, but now, fans are claiming that the polygamist patriarch is also more dedicated to Robyn's children than the kids he has with his first three spouses. Kody has always made it his mission to have a large family, which he has successfully accomplished with his 18 children, but viewers claim the reality star hasn't put enough care into being a good father for all of his kids. From missing out on surgeries to suggesting some sons get kicked out of their homes, here's why Sister Wives fans think Kody is colder to Meri, Janelle, and Christine's children.

It's no surprise to Sister Wives' stars and fans that Kody favors his latest wife, Robyn. Ever since she joined the plural marriage in 2010, Robyn has become the focus of Kody's affection and his trio of original sister wives have struggled with emotional neglect. On top of making his marriage with Robyn his first concern, Kody has also demonstrated that he is most lenient with Robyn's kids. Before Kody and Robyn got married, Robyn already had three children from a former relationship, David, Aurora, and Breanna. Kody adopted Robyn's first trio of children, and after their union, Kody and Robyn had two more kids together, Solomon and Ariella.

Unfortunately, the Sister Wives fanbase has noticed that Robyn and Kody's five children are treated better than the other 13 kids Kody has with Meri, Janelle, and Christine. Kody has exhibited his preference for his and Robyn's five kids throughout the years, but the star's actions during the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted how much more Kody appears to care about Robyn's children. Firstly, Kody was very hand-off when it came to the spine surgery of his and Christine's daughter, Ysabel. Kody claimed that it was too dangerous to travel with Ysabel to get her surgery in New Jersey and suggested Christine allow their teenage daughter to endure that painful experience alone. Fans have noted that when Robyn's son, Dayton, got a cosmetic eye surgery, Kody was a supportive father and husband. Viewers think if one of Robyn's kids got surgery in New Jersey, Kody would've been there.

Most recently, Kody had a tense conversation about setting strict boundaries with his and Janelle's sons, Gabriel and Garrison. Janelle's sons are in their early 20's and still living at home, but Kody doesn't think that's acceptable. Although Janelle is happy to house the boys, Kody is insisting that they kick their boys out of her home. A Reddit user asked, "Robyn’s kids get kicked out at 21? Why when it’s Robyn’s kids it’s 'our kids' but for everyone else it’s 'her kids?'" This fan noted that when discussing Robyn's kids he claimed them, but when referring to Janelle's children, Kody called them "her kids." Another viewer pointed out, "Robyn's kids are still in the home and don't seem to have jobs.. but [that's] different to Kody.." A third frustrated fan argued, "Why does this apply to Janelle's kids and not Robyn’s?"

The Brown family's followers have accepted that Kody treats Robyn better than his other wives, but Sister Wives fans think Kody's disproportionate care for his kids is less digestible. From suggesting Ysabel venture to New Jersey on her own to kicking two sons out of Janelle's house, fans think Kody has different rules for Robyn's children. Regrettably, Kody's affinity for Robyn and her children isn't a shocking revelation for most Sister Wives fans.
