The daughter of Christine Brown and star of Sister Wives, Gwen Brown, is revealing her true thoughts about her father, Kody Brown, and how he has manipulated the polygamous family over the years. Gwen has been one of the most outspoken of the large family, often telling fans of the issues behind the scenes. This is not the first time Gwen has called out her father, and it most likely won't be her last.
Since the latest season ended, Sister Wives' Gwen Brown has been sharing her opinions about each episode with fans on her YouTube channel. Kody's estrangement hasn't gone unnoticed, as Gwen revealed some of her deep feelings about her issues with her father, telling fans, "he really has changed."
Gwen, who recently became engaged, went on to explain her theory, noting that when she and her siblings were younger, they could be manipulated into following his rules sharing that they were as "opinionated."
Why Gwen Feels Kody Brown Is Manipulative
Now, as viewers know, most of the Brown children are adults, with Gwen noting how each has grown into their own person with their own thoughts. Gwen shared with Sister Wives fans that, in her opinion, Kody finds it too hard to interact with his adult children and often wishes they were small again, revealing Kody just found it easier to "talk to us when we weren't as opinionated." As fans of the TLC show know, Kody's strict COVID-19 safety rules started most of the family's arguments, with Kody being unwilling to budge on what he wanted.
The Browns Have Been Ripped Apart On Sister Wives
Like most of her siblings, Gwen has grown up with an absent father figure. Sister Wives viewers who have watched the show for years have seen the decline in Kody's ability to care for all of his 18 children. As the Sister Wives seasons wore on, the patriarch had a difficult time excepting his older children's opinions which often led to fall-outs. Kody has tried to protect the family as best he can, but it does seem that he has always chosen Robyn Brown and their children. The older Brown kids have been left hurt and unable to communicate their feelings leading many to speak out.
Gwen no longer actively reaches out to Kody and has started to move on with her own life. The 21-year-old chose to stay behind in Arizona, where she attends university and also lives with her fiancé, Beatriz. Sister Wives viewers learned that the couple got engaged at the end of last year after moving in with one another and are currently in the midst of planning their wedding. While Gwen is hopeful that Kody may realize his mistakes one day, she is planning on a life without him to turn to, just in case.
