Sister Wives star Ysabel Brown is proud to be showing off her body in a new swimsuit shot, and fans are loving it. The 19-year-old is the daughter of Kody and Christine Brown, who divorced late last year. Ysabel is looking to make waves with her swimsuit photo and bring awareness to a cause close to her heart.
Ysabel has been a prominent figure in the series for some time now and has garnered a huge support system. TLC viewers learned that Ysabel has struggled with scoliosis for years and was first diagnosed back in 2017. Ysabel decided to have surgery in September of 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans were in an uproar after Kody made it clear he would not be breaking his quarantine with Robyn Brown to fly to New Jersey for the procedure. Viewers felt Kody was allowing his daughter to suffer instead of trying to help her. Sister Wives fans appreciated Ysabel for being so open with her constant struggle.
The spunky daughter of Christine recently took to her Instagram to share a few snaps from their beach holiday. During one video, Ysabel could be seen running into the ocean in a black bikini. Fans applauded the blonde for showing off her scoliosis scar and bringing awareness to the cause. Turning to the camera, Ysabel proudly showed off her scar, which runs down the side of her body. The scar is based just under her armpit and runs down the length of her back. Ysabel looked nothing but confident as she posed for the photo.
Since her surgery, which took place over a year ago, the Sister Wives star shared that she has been pain-free and loves being in control of her body now. Fans watched for seasons as Ysabel's condition worsened, with a doctor telling her the curvature of her spine was greater than 50% and causing her chronic back pain. Ysabel tried for years to manage her scoliosis with back exercises, but eventually, she had to commit to the surgery.
Since Sister Wives season 16 wrapped, Ysabel has been living with her sister Maddie Brown in North Carolina to concentrate on school. Ysabel's mother, Christine, has since moved back to Utah to start her life over after leaving Kody behind. Ysabel is thankfully thriving now and living her best life. She often posts about her diagnosis in hopes of spreading the word and helping others.
