Christine Brown is beloved by Sister Wives fans because of her kind spirit and drama-free attitude, but the sister wife's recent career decisions have caused viewers to turn against her. Following the release of the docuseries LuLaRich, fans have been critical of Christine's involvement in the allegedly corrupt company, LuLaRoe. Although she had a long run as the least problematic Sister Wives star, here's why fans are no longer pledging their allegiance to Christine.

Sister Wives fans have strong feelings about all of the reality series' stars, most of which are negative. Audiences universally despise patriarch Kody Brown for a variety of reasons. Chiefly, viewers think Kody neglects his first three wives and isn't present in the lives of his 18 children and three grandchildren. Next, fans are notoriously hard on Kody's fourth and favorite wife, Robyn. Mockingly nicknamed "Sobbin' Robyn," viewers think Robyn is manipulative and unfair to her sister wives. Christine's two other sister wives, Janelle and Meri, aren't as despised by the fanbase as Kody and Robyn, but they are known to occasionally start drama and ruffle viewers' feathers. Christine stands out from Kody and his other wives because she isn't as quick to anger and jealousy.

By staying true to her mellow self, Christine naturally contrasted herself with her co-stars and garnered a large fan following. Recently, however, the tide has turned against Christine due to her work with the controversial women's clothing company, LuLaRoe. In January 2019, the State of Washington's Attorney General's Office sued LuLaRoe for acting like a pyramid scheme and scamming their workers. LuLaRoe has been back in the news due to the release of the Amazon docuseries, LuLaRich. The series documents the rise and fall of LuLaRoe and highlights how people were abused by the deceptive clothing company. After Sister Wives fans saw the film, it became more difficult to view Christine as the kind-hearted TV personality viewers fell in love with. One Reddit user, AwkwardChipmunk1992, expressed their disappointment in Christine, writing, "It's super exploitative and they're just using their fame to sucker people into keeping them rich."

Other Reddit users agreed that it's wrong for Sister Wives stars like Christine to take advantage of her fans and get them involved in the criminal clothing company. One especially harsh Reddit user commented, "I feel like Christine gets away with more because she is the most stupid wife out of all of them." Another fan responded, "They’re lying, scheming and taking advantage of other people. They’re awful." Christine's daughter, Mykelti, who also works with LuLaRoe, stood up for her on Instagram in response to fans' anger. Viewers criticized a photo Mykelti shared of herself sporting LuLaRoe, to which Mykelti replied, "The drama on that documentary is old drama and... I've never lied about information." Wife and mother Mykelti Padron might not understand fans' anger with Christine, but plenty of viewers think Christine's pure reputation has been tarnished by her involvement in the so-called pyramid scheme.

Christine was once perceived as a breath of fresh air from the chaos that her Sister Wives co-stars brewed, but her work at LuLaRoe has diminished her credibility. Following the shocking exposé, fans think Christine uses her influence to add more victims to LuLaRoe's multi-level marketing scheme. While Mykelti might not view her mother any differently for working at a shady company, many Sister Wives fans are in search of a new favorite sister wife.
