The Sister Wives stars have grieved for those they have lost, and it's time to talk about members of the family who sadly passed on. The Browns were once a very close-knit family, but the large clan has become more and more spread out over the years. While living separate lives, the cast members have had to grieve due to losing their loved ones.

Losing a loved one is never easy, but Sister Wives Kody Brown's family's religion teaches them that death is an essential part of their Heavenly Father's plan for their salvation. For a follower to become like the Eternal Father, they must experience death. Mormons believe that followers of the religion lived with God before they were born. They were given the freedom to choose and were sent to Earth to be tested. Mormons like The Brown's believe that when a person dies, their spirit is separated from their physical body, and their spirit then enters a probationary period. Once Jesus Christ appears for his second coming, all who have died will be resurrected. The Brown family's Mormon beliefs have helped them to get through some very trying times. The reality stars have grieved the sad passings of family members.

The patriarch Kody also dealt with a tremendous loss. In 2013, Kody revealed that he had lost his brother, Curtis Brown. It was revealed that Curtis died after a tragic motorcycle accident and was only 34 years old when he passed. Curtis appeared in a Sister Wives season 3 episode, which was aptly named "Brown Boys Do Vegas." The episode included Kody, Curtis, and their two brothers, Scott Brown and Michael Brown. The four brothers shared a night of bonding, which included motorcycle riding, grabbing a few drinks, and spending time at a shooting range.

Despite going through so many losses, the Brown family continues on and never loses faith. Many of the Browns believe they will be reunited with their lost family one day in the afterlife. The family is going through a difficult transition now that Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown have left Kody. The Sister Wives family may be shifting in dynamic, but they will still be there for each other during tough times. Hopefully, the Browns can stand strong together, just as they have during some of the saddest moments.

    Sister Wives
    Summary:
Sister Wives follows the brown family, which observes polygamist practices. Headed by Kody Brown as the father, he and his four wives and their 18 children have moved across the United States, from Utah to Nevada and Arizona. Kody and his wives have secret marriages, as polygamy is illegal. Still, the show follows the family as it covers the trials and tribulations of four wives that split their familial duties of themselves amongst one husband and eighteen children. The children themselves are a significant focus of Sister Wives, as it also focuses on the challenges the children face due to their home life. Sister Wives attempts to dispel negative stereotypes around polygamy, as it aired around 2010 when the general public commonly discussed the topic in the United States. The four Brown wives agreed to participate in the show to accomplish this goal, and TLC continues to chronicle the family's life over a decade later.
