Kody Brown from Sister Wives doesn't always speak positively about Christine Brown, and fans have started to take notice. Of course, there are comments about her that he wishes he never made, which the TLC cameras have caught. Kody's shady remarks could have negatively impacted his relationship with Christine, causing its decline.
Sister Wives viewers have found it extremely hard to empathize with the patriarch, even after he shared that he was no stranger to vague threats from his spouses when they didn't get their way. The Brown family's polygamist lifestyle seems to be going up in flames. Each of his three wives, Meri, Janelle, and Robyn Brown, seems to be unhappy, and Christine Brown left him. However, Kody shared that he is pretty much used to the complaints. Even so, Kody has started to lose his love of plural marriage, and lash out at those closest to him.
Fans were not surprised to hear Kody say that he's in "polygamy Hell" on the show. Sister Wives season 16 has shown the family in the worst place that they have ever been. Kody has been rude to all of his wives and even told them that he didn't "give a sh*t" about their opinions regarding his COVID-19 rules. Sadly, Christine has borne the brunt of his cruelty. During the December 19 episode, Kody confessed that he just wasn't feeling his marriage to Christine, saying, "She's really been complaining about the lack of romance or closeness in the relationship for years." According to Kody, Christine had given him an ultimatum regarding their marriage.
Kody also revealed that he and Christine were drifting apart long before the pandemic started. In Sunday's all-new episode, Kody divulged that he believed his third wife hated him, noting, "I think Christine hates me, partly because Truely almost died and she thought that I had been negligent." Viewers will recall that Truely was sent to the hospital for kidney failure in 2014. In the family's book Becoming Sister Wives, Kody famously mentioned that he wasn't attracted to Christine because she wasn't thin enough for his tastes. Kody described his third wife as "a little chubby" and complained about how she ate nachos. Kody has never had any issues when it comes to sharing information about his turn-offs, but the father of 18 seemed to have way more negative opinions about Christine than the other wives.
TLC viewers are watching Kody on the current season, as he continues to find himself in hot water with his remaining spouses. Fans still feel that he favors Robyn Brown, as he spent his entire self-isolation with her. Kody's anger at his other wives has really started to sour his already turbulent relationships. In November, Christine finally called it quits and moved back to Utah to be with her family. While Sister Wives fans are hoping that Kody has learned his lesson about how his words can hurt those around him, some viewers don't think he feels bad about anything that he's said.
